Jamie was 100 percent right in his views. As a professional rugby league player, I would suggest he is better suited to judge a fellow professional's actions, than a rather emotional poster like yourself. It's a moot point as to whether he should have expressed them so forthrightly, but on balance, I'll take plain speaking over Political Correctness everytime.
'"
This bit is classic. So it's OK for Peacock to speak his mind as a "professional rugby league player" and he is in a better position blah, blah, blah? Well I would suggest that this is only because you happen to agree with his sentiments. Was Phil Clarke not a "professional rugby league player"; I would imagine that Phil Clarke spends more time analysing RL games than your beloved Jamie does - as he doesn't have to spend the same amount of time training to play. He's also been involved with the game for longer. Yet you cried long and hard at how his comments were a disgrace.
So on one hand we have Peacock "telling it like it is" and you think he should because you "prefer plain speaking to PC comments". Yet when someone forthrightly express the opinions in a plain speaking manner that isn't PC; but you don't agree with them; that's wrong.
Congratulations - you've just given a perfect example of hypocrisy! Well done.
Quote ="BillyRhino"
As for crowd trouble, after what we have seen written this last week, I could easily shrug my shoulders in an ironic Phil Clarke manner, and opine that if thats what the God's of Rugby want, who am I, as a mere mortal to argue with that? If you're looking for trouble, you will find it easily. Most supporters will hopefully enjoy a cracking game of RL.
'"
But we all know that those (whoever they support) looking for trouble; won't look to find it with people who might be able to dish it out, but will start on people that offer less of a challenge(if you don't get this bit - have a word with Ryan Bailey; he'll be able to explain why better than anyone).
I hope that both sets of fans can let the action happen on the pitch. If they can't then they should be banned for life.
Quote ="BillyRhino"
It is perhaps fortunate that Leeds will be stuffed full of police for the Leeds/Sheffield match, and when that match is finished can easily be shipped up to Headingley. Unfortunately, the chav element can also make an appearance for the second half, and if a couple of coaches get their windows bricked, then we will be another sad step down the road in RL.
'"
I actually agree with this bit.
Quote ="BillyRhino"
I don't think there will be anything out of the ordinary on the pitch. It's a semi final, it's bound to be a wee bit tasty as there's a lot a stake, but you can forget it turning into WW3.
Kindly leave your clogs at home as well.'"
With the rhetoric from Peacock helping stir up what already plans to be a tight match; this game could well be remembered for all the wrong reasons. Regardless of whether Wigan win or lose, I hope it's not

Actions speak louder than words where we come from. No point spouting your trout off and then not backing it up. Peacock will be in the stands with his pom poms on saturday where as all our lads will be showing Egg head, Dumbo and all you sheep fiddlers why they have been keeping quiet.

Piggy is well capable, we have no worries from him (just ask Michael Weyman, who is no slouch either)
Honestly, there is no-one in the Leeds squad that i would back against our lads.
Senior is famous for skelping BJM about 25 years ago and slapping Jon Wilkin
Bailey has been banjoyed but numerous players and i dont think i have ever seen him win a scuffle?
Who else?
Lee Smith
Webb
I mean who is there?

| Personally I hope the Leeds players do take Piggy's head off. I think our lads should take to the field in Phil Clarke masks just to make it a cert.
A dozen penalties, a couple of sin bins and a red card will do nicely.

Wolfs should stay off this thread - there's a debate going on between fans of big clubs and you're not qualified to participate.

i would like to make a point about clarke's public rant if i may
clarke reckon's that magsy deserves his long lay off for "allegedly" cheating by pulling on the shirt of that renowned wigan speedster carmont
magsy will now possibly miss 6-8 months out of the game due to the injury
where as hock will only miss 2 years out of the game for something far more serious than "alleged shirt pulling"!
did clarke condemn hock at the time, and in the same vitriolic way he did with magsy on sky? or did clarke possibly find a way of playing the "recreational drugs" thing down, as hock was a wigan player?
i would like to use clarke's terminology here,as it clearly fit his agenda
[iMcGuire's injury could well act as a lesson to any other player watching that it doesn't pay to cheat. Perhaps the rugby Gods have punished him for his unsportsmanlike play.[/i
as this fits my agenda then surely if there were rugby gods handing out punishments to players,then [i"they would have banned hock for life would they not?"[/i
