He didn't have a good game last night but he was not the reason we lost the match. If it hadn't rained so much Eastmond could not have aqua planed over for quite so far but if we had taken the umpteen chances that we had it wouldn't have mattered anyway and if my uncle had been a woman he would have been my aunt so put it behind us and move on. Players have bad games just like they have great ones - it doesn't make it a hanging offence

I have put something similair to this in another post, but I feel Roberts needs a good pre season in the winter learning how to play in the wet. Dry summer nights he looks ok, a bit of cold and rain he looks crap. (Perhaps he needs some of those gloves rugby union players wear,

Roberts was very poor in the first half especially. Not only did he knock on far too much how many times does he over run the ball? I lost count of the times Gleeson tried to get the quick pass away to him but he had over ran it.

Saying that, he was no worse than Joel Tomkins who was guilty of knocking on time and time again just as we looked to have the beating of Saints. His knock ons took the pressure off Saints and gave them reason to believe they could get the winning score.

He could start a new trend - playing on the wing in a pair of those lovely

Agree with you though it must take some getting used to coming from the heat of Aus to the cold and wet of Wigan, he isn't the first and wont be the last who has struggled in his first season in the UK but he will be more used to it next year. I can think of a few players who struggled in their first year but came good - most recent being Pat Richards and how about Craig Smith ? Had a nightmare of a first season but I would happily have paid for him to stay myself at the end.

And before someone says overseas players should know what it is like over here, well to some extent maybe they should but on the other hand if you have never played in rain, sleet, snow and mud before then how on earth can they tell

What I would say in regards to Amos is, are we only ever going to able to trust him to have a good game in dry conditions, because yes he's had some bad games but they've mostly been in the wet, and yes he's had some good games but they have mostly been in the dry, so there's certainly a correlation forming there.

He's one of the top two wingers at the Wigan.

I've thought it for weeks. Months, even. And rated by who as a top performer? No-one I've spoken to has.

People are only up his ar&e because he is an Aussie. He brings nothing to our side whatsoever. Friday night was just the latest in a long string of shocking, woeful performances.

You should never over critcise a player in his first season playing in the UK, some people on this forum where calling for Richards to be sold or to go home, and look whats happened there.

Roberts will be an excellent player for Wigan, he has shown for me over the past few weeks that he does have a very strong game. Give him some more time.

Its a shame there's no school on weekends... can you not get mummy to take you to the park instead!!!

tomkins(joel) makes mistakes every game,dropped ball, lying on,really needs to learn off bailey for that

like many posts robert did look dangerous when he did keep hold of the ball.sooner o'loughlin back the better then tomkins could struggle for the bench IMO
