I think you are quite wrong about the 2011 Leeds Rhinos. 2011 saw the Leeds club completely revamped in terms of coaching and playing structure. The plays and systems that were in place for over a decade, the ones that the numourous home grown talent had leant since their skolarships programmes began had been completely wiped clean by MacDermott in an attempt to freshen things up. During the season I saw some very good signs of defence and attack but neither were put together on a regular basis. Signs were evident that the players were struggling and MacDermott was also learning about his side. They stook at it when pressure got very high. It took almost a full season for the players to put things together and for MacDermott to find a way to get the best out of his squad. It was frustrating to watch but fascinating when glimpses were shown. In the end it was put together and nobody can deny that Leeds played some very special rugby in the playoffs.

I've paid for my season ticket and seen Leeds do things the 'Warrington way' and win the competition by been the best side all season, but 2011 will definitely be the one to stick in the memory above the rest!

I'd rather pay £200 to see the champions rather than watch a team that choked when it really mattered. It's ok being a flat track bully against the also rans but I'd rather watch a team that stood up when it really counted. But life would be boring if we were all the same.

You need to stop reading all the cry-baby threads on Southstander about this board then. The same people start a new one every few weeks when they've lost their latest dummy.

The threads you refer to are more gloating than crying,(and often with justification). I find them quite entertaining.

If starting a new thread every few weeks whining about being banned on here is now considered gloating, Substandard has gone downhill even more than I thought.

Pity that said Leeds fan could not have dug up some threads containing the bleating of the leeds fans from early in the season. Maybe they have, but i seldom go to other boards so would not know.

Perhaps these threads have to be started on our board simply because whenever anything negative is aired towards Wigan on your board it seems to implement an almost instant ban? Voicing your opinion on here can be almost impossible due to mods being hyper sensitive.

As far as I'm aware nobody has ever been banned on here for anything negative aired towards Wigan. If that actually happened, I'd be banning myself first. Constant trolling, ignoring warnings, breaking the AUP is why people get banned. However don't let the facts get in the way of the babies crying on the Leeds board who did all these things then play the victim because they were a muppet.

I'm pretty sure some people could back me up on this, and not just Leeds fans either. Some comments are made to be taken tongue in cheek, yet it's seen as a personal attack on your club most of the time. Believe me, I'm not the only person on these boards who hold this opinion, and if your heads weren't so far up your own arsés you'd realise this aswell.

If what you say was true then people would have been banned for what's been said in this thread since it was reopened. They haven't, which pretty clearly shows what you and others think, to be complete rubbish. Given what you say it makes me wonder why people are still so desperate to post on here..................

Anyway this thread is not about what you or anyone else thinks about how this board is moderated. If you have a problem with it contact the site admin.

The standard of moderation on this board is second to none. There are some boards whose standards fall well short of those set by the moderators on here. If someone has an issue with the moderation process there are other places to start before coming to this board to complain.

Oh dear. Highlighting one sentence of Andy's post, in an attempt to show that I am contradicting myself by agreeing with him and then going on to develop the argument. Very weak attempt, even by the standards of Leeds fans posting on this thread.



What's so funny about this thread is that no-one was more pessimistic about Leeds' chances than Leeds fans when this thread was originally running.

It's quite bizarre that Leeds fans should want to highight their utter failure to get behind what is clearly a good coaching and playing set-up. It's drawing attention to the lack of RL knowledge and frankly a lack of character in many Leeds RL fans. Many people outside your club would conclude from the orginal debacle and this embarrassing regurgitation of the bitter feelings of those dark days for your club that your players and coaching staff deserve much better than the shocking "support" of Whinos fans.

But feel free to carry on, this is great stuff!

Let me remind you that, at the time, we were playing poorly, loosing games we really should have won, hadn't beaten any of the top 4 teams, home or away and were looking like we might drop out of the top 8 with fundamentally the same team that were champions not more than 7 months previously.

At the time, we had gone from GF semifinalists and CC finalists to a mid-table, mediocre team with the only real change being the coaching staff.

It is very easy to condemn when your looking down from your ivory tower, hand-in-hand with hindsight.

With hindsight it may not have been so prudent to proclaim yourself champions before the first ball was kicked in the Grand Final.

With hindsight it may have been better to run your post through some spell-checking software before hitting the 'Submit' button.

That one sentence was one of only two key points made in Andy's post. Clearly the logic is a little too advanced for you. And you didn't really develop an argument did you. You merely fawned at the feet of your master before paraphrasing his point.

In any case this is my last post on here. It took me six goes to post my earlier reply before your mods stopped deleting it and it's getting just a touch tedious having to copy, paste and modify until I have reached your 'oh so lofty' standards.
