I do wonder whether Dom will ever make it back to a rugby field again or if he’s better refocusing his career into a backroom role to avert serious mobility issues later in life.

I doubt he will want to take a back room role, they’d be paying peanuts.

I've thought the same for a while now about certain players and I'll add Kallum Watkins to that list. I always thought the huge sidesteps he did when he jumped in the air first must have put huge stress on the knee.
I also think the new super grip boots have some thing to do with the increase lower limb injuries as there is just no give and the joints buckle.

I think that is a good point about the boots and one which should be investigated further. The game needs to understand why we are seeing more of these injuries.

It was said a few years ago, players started wearing the blades, which didnt turn in the turf the way that regular studs did.

I know with warrington and ben Currie they blamed the pitch for not being up to standard and cutting up when he did his knee.

Whilst playing, a player could be on £80,000. Once finished and go into coaching in the academy or community foundation then your talking a bit more than minimum wage aren’t you.

he could be and a coach could be, it depends what your bring to the table, I imagine no coach is on anywhere near minimum wage

No head coach yes. But assistant coach or water carriers won’t be on much, not in the grand scheme of things.

always remember when he came on the scene and Wane was singing his praises, a few of the Wigan fans on here where gobsmacked he could get into the team with Charnley and Burgess being there. probably the best UK Winger ive seen since MO and JR, defo has some freaky abilities.
