Bailey and Feka were always going Riddell was announced a while ago. I would assume everyone else would be waiting to negotiate deals with us or elsewhere at this moment.

I certainly think there will be more departures from the squad and i also expect 1 more high profile signing.

How do people see the hooker situation playing out next year?

With Sam excelling at FB it looks like that's gonna be his spot next year. Now that probably means Tommy won't be moving to #9 unless we sign a new 7 or pick Deacs there leaving just Mcilorum as our only front line hooker.

Very few world class players are signed at such short notice as it takes months of negotiating 2 bring them over and for this reason I doubt we will be seeing a top 9 coming over from the NRL.

Would it be worth signing a player at the end of thier career for 12 months much in the same way we did with Millard a few years ago? This would give us breathing space 2 recruit a top class player the year after. Who would be available? Someone like Clarke at Wire could be ok for just the one season. Could we sign KFC for a year lol? There aren't that many options available really unless we look at paying a transfer fee?

I think the hope is that Roberts gets some form back and play fb, with sam and finch in the halves.

Certainly goulding deserves the number 2 shirt at the start of the season at least.

We have just signed a 15 year old from Wakefield named Ryan Hampshire, regarded as one of the best young players in the country.

They are in talks with Richards, Roberts, Gleeson, Carmont, Tomkins (both of them), Fielden, Pryce, Hansen, Goulding and the rest of them.

Is Fielden definitely staying at Wigan then? The Hull FC rumour seems to have got legs again, which is strange as we've re-signed Radford now. Is it just people dredging up the old rumour or has there been a movement?

If we lost fielden, i wouldnt say no to radford on a 12 month deal.

He is hard as nails and would pass experience on to the like of Ben davies. However, i simply hope we have signed fielden up again

Our last decade or so of mediocrity doesn't seem to have had that bigger an impact on our recruitment of youngsters. Hopefully now were on our way back we can take it up a notch and recruit from further and further afield like we have with this young lad.

Must admit that I'm wondering where all the Fielden leaving talk has come from, he was quoted in the Express on Friday as saying he's playing the best rugby of his career under Maguire. Would be very odd then to say that and then move to another club.

Regards Ryan he is a cracking lad from a hood family his older brother is on Wakefields books and his dad is a good coach. He has a great work ethic and has that bit of cheek all halves need. I worked with him when he was in the Trinity scholarship system and I am made up he has signed for Wigan.

Great to hear he's got a good work ethic, if there's one thing that will help him achieve his dream of becoming a professional player it's that.

another poster on this board did along with Rockys dad a poster on the wildcats site, I was simply asked what I knew of him by other said poster a good while ago. it's been some time in the making this deal which is great as both Rocky, his family have had all the time to consider if it was the right move for him as have the club. Talent alone is rarely enough for a lad to make it, and many of the qualities he has as a character will hopefully see him make the grade.

Radford has re-signed with HullFC on a two year deal.
Lee is a prop, I deduce then that the prop from another club who'd been offered a two year deal has turned them down and staying where he is.
I really do think Fielden will stay at Wigan!

Hes coming to Salford, along with Thomas Lueluai, that's why Lueluai was at the Willows today.

Haha, yeah the Lueluai from Leigh was there as well I didn't see Kyle though, must admit I didn't see Fielden their, although he was probably up in the stands with Wilkinson and Simms discussing his deal with us next year.

Makes you wonder how Salford are fitting all these under the cap. Are they the new warrington?
