I just genuinely think he's one of those players that polarises opinions because of people's expectation (i'm not even trying to suggest for a minute that they shouldn't have those expectations).

The level of prop that he compares unfavourably to is Jamie Peacock - quite right to make a comparison given their histories and probably contract sizes, and he should deliver more than he does (or be on a smaller salary). But he compares very favourably to every other prop at our club, and tbh the majority of props in Super League.

That's the only point I was trying to make, for his money he should be up there with JP (and lets be honest it's not like he's not got the ability to be up there). There are very very few props around though that offer more apart from a financial saving (which again maybe a great thing).

I am not bagging Fielden regards this i have seen examples throughout the year where the official stats do not add up.

Fielden is a solid supporting Prop, his defence is reliable, he offers neat to nothing going forward in fact harms the team's go forward.

Regardless of the stats right or wrong, he fails to dominate any collision both attacking and defence so while he does complete the tackle and gets a tick next to his name much of the time he loses the collision and generates trouble for the team on a wider level.

He is on World Class money and producing supporting Prop form, in my opinion he is producing second supporting Prop form, 1 up from the junior spot in a balanced 4, and in the day of the cap that is not acceptable.

We did mention Bailey but he wouldn't let on. My source is a current player, who said Bailey was sh/te anyway and wouldn't fit in at wigan.

My suggestion would be press the lever to 'flush'.

I've now decided that I'd be totally stunned if Wigan signed Ryan Bailey, given that he's both crap and a cardboard tank.

Cronk is a quality player and proof of how strong the Aussies are. He would walk into the GB/England 7 shirt and is 2nd if not 3rd choice for the Aussies.
