When the going gets tough, Pryce goes missing. The second half against Saints and the whole match at Leeds showed that. I really hope he doesn't play.

Scott Donald at Leeds never went near him. He got injured v Saints when he jumped over Sam Tomkins and all his weight came down on his ankle.

to be fair Pryce did something similar in the U20's on Saturday, came in, stopped, tackled no one and Salford scored.
But he knew he'd done wrong and put his hand up, I'm not sure Darrel understands.

Yeah i noticed Daz against Salford as well last week, he kept shooting out of the line, seems like he doesnt want to stay in the defensive line and slide across with everyone else. I just feel like Pryce doesn't come in looking for work in the tough games and is very hesitant when teams kick towards him (he was very lucky with the one he let bounce early on at Leeds).
It's just personal opinion with me, not necessarily the right one and not scapegoat syndrome. I just dont think Pryce will ever "make it" at Wigan and i never have done.

Important time for Wigan will be when Morley and Carvell goes off and they have Cooper and others on.

Because they are a better side than any Pryce has had to face up to now in his six games this season and post a big threat out wide? And because Pryce is THE most overrated player in the entire Wigan squad of course.

I'm not saying Pryce is the best winger at Wigan, but I don't think he's as bad as you make him out to be.

Strong squad

Not a lot wrong with Pryce's defence at all. He can smash people too.

All i've seen of him was the recent Saints game on the telebox, apart from getting the injury i thought he seemed quite handy and i can't see many teams keeping him out with 10 to go

There's not a lot separating Goulding and Pryce. If anything Goulding looks busier. Trouble is a lot of people made their minds up about Pryce 2 years ago.

I honestly don't see either of them having a long term future at Wigan though, particularly as wingers.

Both have done reasonably well this season though and are worthy of a years contract extension too see if the improvement continues.

The thing is with the whole Pryce v Goulding argument, people always notice good attack a lot more than good defence. Goulding is the better attacking winger for my money because he has the pace to turn in a try from his own half, if given the space, whereas Pryce would get caught, they're both great finishers close to the line and neither seem to score many off attacking kicks. However, people forget how Goulding shoots inside so often near his line, leaving the opposition winger in space, whereas Pryce usually gets the job done. I think I prefer Pryce right now because I can see Warrington targetting Goulding, plus if they can get him to come inside and take a drive or two it'll take some weight off Fielden's shoulders.

Not as many as you think, IMO. I was part of a quite large group that thought enough of him to sponsor him last season (but decided not to renew this year). Whatever opinions are now, I think even his admirers would agree he hasn't lived up to the expectations from when he signed.

Very strong squad on paper, i think everyone will need to be at the top thier game come Friday!!! Its gunna be a close one me thinks, cant wait
