I would like to announce that I don't believe we need a fans forum, I haven't bought the new Sam Tomkins big soup, finishing top is pointless and Mathers is in the top 3 worst fullbacks I have seen at Wigan but he is no Gelling or Green in the scapegoat stakes.

I went to one and didn't enjoy it.

3 reasons

1) Idiotic questions. People intent on asking a question regardless of whether the issue had been cleared up in IL's pre forum speech. People thinking they're comedians when clearly they're not.

2) IL's censorship of what can and can't be asked.

3) The whole Pirtek thing. wah, wah, wah....

In his brief speech at the awards dinner IL spoke of a successful season for the club but not such a good one for the game. He mentioned:-

The Bradford administration issue.
Currrent Play Off format which is not working with eight teams. He said he preferred the top five play off.
Then suggested the relegation and promotion matter will be raised again and he felt it could well return.

At these meetings IL asks for 10 questions on different matters so add another seven to those he's already mentioned and I think it could be quite lively.
The place would be full again if he did hold another forum that's for sure.
I like them compared to previous managment's attitude towards us fans.
They treated us as turnstile fodder, turn up, pay up and shut up!
IL is hell of a change for the better from that lot!

Don't know about this, do tell.

I get the feeling you are anti-forum...

I would just go to listen to IL and his speech at the start, as you point out he answers most questions, which is good.

I have seen him get annoyed by stupid questions and differences of opinion but you need to take the rough with the smooth.

It was a great idea to have them in the first instance, if we are to continue to be the best supported club they need to sell season tickets for 2013, therefore fans need to know what they are buying into for the up coming season.

At the moment I think our recrutiment has been poor and I have counted nine players leave so far? - King, Mellor, Marsh, Lima, Finch, Fielden, Carmont, Russell and TL.

I'm not anti-forum as such, I'm just against it in it's current form. If IL is telling people what they can and can't ask then he may as well just do his speech rather than 'opening it up to the floor'.

I have had some correspondance with club over this and they felt that the last forum was subdued and there was not a lot of topics coming from the floor. However with there not being any last season the club may look to putting one on in early 2013...

3. Whatever happened to Doc Murray
4. What they put in the pies on match day
5. Will we be signing Cooper Cronk
