Looking ahead to the future, once Sam Tomkins is a regular first teamer maybe he can be captain? He is intelligent and a wiganer. Locky is not a captain.

thought sean was very good defensively and worked very hard. he is not a world beater, and is not farrell hanley or clarke. we have been spoilt in the loose forward position over the years but to bag him every two minutes is very narrow minded. i think he could be more vocal but who else is there, fielden ? tommy ? id stick with sean.

Give it a rest Medlocke. Even you can't see that as a bad performance. A defence splitting pass for one of our tries and a kick worthy of Barrett for another. And as solid as a rock in defence...saving us from a certain try on at least one occassion. The lad can do no right with you can he?

That's an achievement in itself.

I thought Lockers put in a lot of work today, love to know what the tackle count was, to me he seemed to do a lot of work in defence and I thought he did ok. Not brilliant (none of them were really) but he certainly didn't do anything to deserve another bout of Lockers knocking...

Don't understand why ppl jump on this bandwagon about his poor perforamnces, that stems from his lack of leadership, he's is always one of our top performers.

I'm one of Lockers biggest fans I think his work rate is very good but I'm not sure he's captain material! Take a look at his body language when the opposition score - he just shakes his head and stands with his hands on his hips! He should be giving his team some direction and/or a good 'telling off' to put it politely. Could you ever imagine Faz keeping as quiet?

Good game but still not captain material we'd of been better off having faz shouting the odds from the stands. He's the team captain he should be barking his orders out from hooter to hooter. For me he's to nice doesn't want to say anything to our so called superstars just incase they dont want to be friends anymore.

But you said he was telling the truth when the OP said he had another terrible game! Just shows he can do no right in your book as it was patently untrue. For what it's worth O'Loughlin has only had one poor game so far, including all the friendlies, and has been one of our better players in a poor team. Tonight he was excellent. What exactly do you want?

Though Sean had a solid game tonight. However still no captain IMO. Watched it on sky and Offiah was going on about how the team lacked leadership. Let Sean get on with playing and get another to captain the side.

Unless we go buying an experienced leader (who would cost a bomb) then we are going to hav to wait a few years until the youngsters develop into leaders

There is already to much pressure on the youngsters to succseed, they don't need the pressure of captaincy. (ie O' loughlin), we have players in Carmont, Bailey & Fielden who would love to do the job. We don't need to buy one.
