It's weird that I was told early last week by my source in the club that Wane was the new coach but the McGuire rumours just won't go away.
Do the paper's know something we don't or are they way off and Wane [iwill[/i be the new head coach?
I'm definitely coming round to hoping it's McGuire in as head coach with Wane as assistant, rather than Wane straight into the head coach position. |

I'd guess the national papers know less then any of us tbh.
The Rugby League papers will know a little more but nothing major because Lenagan gives nothing at all away.
I'd imagine we'll all still be wondering who the new coach will be come christmas. |

Noble & Sharp have previous with GB, but it defys Sharps claims he wants to be a head coach.

Very positive stuff imo. He talks about a great relationship with Ian Lenagan and how they both see the club moving forward with a host of youngsters coming through. He believes we have 6 or 7 players in the u21's that will be knocking on the first team door next year and long term they're aiming at having a squad 90% made up of homegrown players.
Will he be our new coach? who knows but going off that it sounds like he stands as good a chance as any.

Though I've expressed concern, and will continue to express it, about Shaun Wane landing the top coaching job at Wigan, that's only because I feel our team desperately needs an NRL cutting edge. There's no doubt about Shaun's ability and his commitment to the cause. Personally, I'd be delighted to see him appointed as assistant coach, maybe with a view to him landing the main job a couple of years down the line. |
