So obstruction deserves a ban depending on how many minutes of a game have elapsed and the importance of the game





There isn't much hysterical screaming going on over there at the moment so there is less to laugh at than on the Wigan and Leeds boards (like people advocating match bans for obstruction), although I have posted there today. Thanks for your interest, I'm flattered.

No it isn't, your analogy is rubbish. An obstruction on the first minute can have just as much influence on the outcome as one in the last.

Theres a big difference in those two though isnt there? The first one is driving without care but the second one you could have killed somebody!

Rarely will you see two obstructions that are so different!

You cant give bans for stuff like that because there will be so many "grey areas" so to speak it will kick off even more than it does now.

How many of the Leeds fans currently bleating on this post offered similar indignation when another member of the media (no names mentioned as he doesn't deserve a name check!) said similar things about Amos injuring himself in the [ulegitiamate[/u act of scoring a try? I don't rememer any and, unlike this board, I don't rememer any indignation over on SS either! Many Wigan fans have criticised Clarke and the other posters who have lauded McGuire's injury; can the same be said for Leeds fans about the comments made regarding Amos? In fact I'll be more specific: would the Leeds fans who have contributed to this thread please post links to the posts they made condemning *spit*Beswick*spit*. I await your responses.

Look everyone shut up for a minute and acknowledge the reason Wigan fans are really annoyed.

Its not because of what mcguire did, not really anyway, its what Mclennan and Peacock have done later. If Mclennan came out and apologised for his slander against Riddell and Leuluai and peacock acknowledged that Mcguire DID cheat and no I am NOT saying that he deserved the injury and I'm NOT saying that Wigan would 'certainly have won if he hadn't' and just accept his team mate did cheat and held his hands up all this could be put to bed.

As an Englishman I am gutted that Mcguire is injured for Englands 4nations but I'm glad he can't play against us coz he's dangerous just wish it was a ban instead ha.

There was massive uproar when Beswick gloated about the injury sustained by Amos earlier in the season. Very similar in fact to what Clarke has said re: McGuire apart from the fact that, whereas McGuire damaged his knee in the act of cheating, Amos damaged his in the act of scoring a try. Given how vociferous and heartfelt your disgust over Clarke's comments it follows that you must be even MORE incensed by Beswick's comments, yet you were strangely quiet on that one.

Would like to make a point and see if anybody else agrees.

Looking at the up coming 4 nations and what Peacock has said about the Wigan players. I'm sure this will only cause uproar in the England camp between the wigan and Leeds players. Looking at what happened in the world cup and the divide between the saints and Leeds players this can't be good for the international setup. After all the money the RL as put into trying to get the england team up to the standards and to be competitive.

I.M.O. Peacock should be stripped of the England captaincy role.

P.S Peacock is injured and won't be plating anyway
