Fielden?

I don't know any other player in Superleague or NRL who has Feka's build. He just isn't mobile enough with the ball and never hurts anyone in defence.
He's earned good money whilst he has been at Wigan but the gravy train has hit the buffers. It's a shame for him but that's life.
I predicted a good season for him and piggy because I knew they would lose weight and Feka was playing for a contract. I was wrong regarding the latter.
Piggy has delivered because the extra fitness has meant he can display his considerable skills without blowing up.
However Feka losing the weight has merely shown that he has nothing else in his nal.

I'm pretty gutted. I was hoping to see a lot more from him this year.

When Feka is at his best I don't think their is a better impact prop in the world, that includes Moi Moi, the problem is that he cannot get back to his 2007 form.

Are you saying that Noble managed to get more out of him than Maguire?

I am saying that his form was better in 2007 than it is now. No comment on the coaches.

For whatever reason Maguire does not seem to want to get anything out of him, and although as a fan of his I am gutted not to see him play, you have to respect the coach and his long term vision for the club.

That seems a little harsh. I'm sure Madge and Mark Bitcon will have tried their damndest to get him to a level their satisfied with, but for what ever reason it's just not happened. At the end of the day they'll have set goals for Feka to achieve just like they will have with every player, and sadly for him it appears as though he's not matched their ambitions or expectations.

I did not mean that they will not have worked with him, simply that he clearly is not the type of Prop MM wants in his team.

Not being selected on the bench vs Leeds indicates that.

Although Feka is undoubtably a fans favourite I think that if he does go to another SL team I don't think it will take long for us to see his shortcomings.

Feka has been a good player for Wigan but much in the same way it was the right time to part company with Brian Noble now is the right time to part ways with Feka. He just doesn't fit in with our new, high energy style of play and as much as it will be a shame to see him leave it will be the correct move for the club and probably Feka himself as he needs to be playing at his age.

All this talk about sport is harsh is pure bull. we ain't talking about a player like Mathers or Higham here were talking about one of if not the best impact prop in world RL!

I worry about the game of RL when it seems like we are coaching the entertainment out of our players. Give me a player like Feka any day of the week over a run of the mill guy like Prescott

The problem with Feka at the moment is that he isn't really making an impact anymore. He's actually coming on for Coley or Fielden and the team seems to be losing intensity instead of gaining it.

I'm not bagging him and I think he really is trying his guts out and it's obvious that he's slogged his guts out in the gym but the side has left him behind. He used to come on in years gone by for a team that would come out of the blocks at a snails pace and look generally uninterested and he lifted us but now he's coming on for a side thats flying out of the blocks and working their rocks off for each other and he isn't able to make an impact on that because playing at full tilt in both attack and especially defence just isn't his game.

He deserves a big pat on the back at the end of the year but he really has to be shown the door. We need a prop that can do a similar job to Coley and Fielden who can come on and spell those 2 allowing our game to be consistant through the 80mins.

I was taking the p1ss - there's always someone who trots out the line scared poopless someone might have a good game if they leave Wigan.

Ill be extremely sad when feka leaves the club. He's been a fantastic club man and can be one of the nicest blokes you will ever meet. I'm sure I am saying that for every wigan fan aswell, anyone who has met feka knows he gives you as long as you want to speak to him.

It's just a shame hes not rekindled the form of 07, when he was breaking tackles for fun and crushing defences. Ill put alot of it down to his court case. That truly knocked the blokes form last year and it was playing on his mind and I dont think he has ever got over that deep down.

But madge needs to keep working with the big guy because he can play a bloody big part in our season this year, get him firing off all cyllinders and he can only benefit our pack containing an in form coley and fielden.

If feka is leaving, and it is looking likely he is. I will always look upon his time fondly in a wigan shirt, for his barnstorming runs and his great personality. Great bloke and one who will be missed by me and by many more Im sure.

Not much that hasnt already been said, here. I just cant figure out why hes not getting more time this year. I belive had he been on the bench for Leeds we may still have been heading for Wembley.
I hope if he is going theres an announcement soon so he can get a real fans send off.
