im looking at the difference between junior and concession (student/oap)

game days same price (£11), but theres £102 in difference for season tickets.

and that imo is where we are going wrong.
young adults cant afford them(they are either at college, doing apprenticeships, training up as summat, or signing on, either way they are on low incomes)....big leap, so they pay on the day and pick their games, and eventually drift away.

we should take a leaf out Stockport Countys book and introduce a 16-21 season ticket at a more realistic price...say £75.
Many who wouldnt pay £128 might pay £75, and it keeps em here till they are on full adult wages and can afford top whack.
AND i would extent it to the East stand.

The first thing the club needs to do is make the south stand price for kids apply to the East/West stands as well. Behind the sticks is a much poorer view and making the sides more affordable may encourage more parents to bring their kids.

A 16-21 season ticket is a good idea as well, as it may encourage those who drop off once their parents stop funding it/become uncool to go with to continue.

The challenge cup ticket, home shirt discount and usual priority for tickets are rightly still in place.

Get the free tickets back in the schools!

I wasn't thinking about it from a selfish point of view. I'm fine, i'll get a good deal as usual from the renewal price. I just don't think it will entice any new season ticket holders who may want to buy one at the last minute.

Actually just re-looking at it is that £25 right? I don't know what that full price column represents.

I know it doesn't happen in my old school any more.
My cousin's school were given tickets for ONE game last year. Not sure which one, but it was a one off and I'm not 100% that the tickets actually came from the club itself.

I remember it happening at my old primary school. There are more than enough empty seats for the club to restart this.

i have 4 kids with season tickets...........and all 4 began by going to games on freebies from school, or the vouchers from the WEP.

i think that tells you giving out freebies is a way forward.

Most kids will be taken by an adult who will pay full entrance fee. Half time food and drink. Extra money for the club.

The fixtures will be out before the early bird price finishes wont they?

I can certainly pay more the stuff I buy whatever it it be it a seaosn ticket or a par of shoes with very little effort I am sure but I try not to do that!

I’d just like to clarify an earlier post. ALL season tickets offer cash savings over match-by-match admission; the “Full Price” listed is the full price you would pay if you bought an individual ticket to every game included in the package. In reality, the actual price you will pay is either the “Renewal” price, “Early Bird” price or “Season Ticket price” depending on the time at which you purchase a season ticket. So for example, if you were to purchase a West Stand Gold price season ticket as a renewal you will pay £207 (saving you £7icon_cool.gif whilst an early bird will pay £221 (saving you £64).

Well before the early bird deadline but two to three weeks after the renewal deadline.

Personally I think the renewal deadline is a bit early. It was always the end of November but they seem to have brought it forward? Or maybe I'm not remembering right.

But why would the "Full Price" be £285???

Surely 13x £20 = £260

So the actual savings would be £53 & £39 respectively?????

Not having a go BTW as unlike some I think this is a very positive Move by the club and there are a couple fo great New initiatives in there!

I do agree that the Much Higher prices for the East Stand for Juniors is a Negative point!

Based on the Renewal price for an Adult in the South £169 - If they get a Family ticket the child gets his/hers at 1/2 the price they would if they bought it as a single ticket i.e £13 instead of £26! That makes it a 50% saving based on a ticket price of only £2 per game!

Based on a renewal price for an Adult in the East Red (Where I sit) of £178 - When converted to a family ticket the Child ticket costs an extra £92 per child compared to £118 for a Junior ticket on it's own!
I make that about a 22% saving on a ticket that costs almost £10 a game!
Surely there should be an equal or bigger % discount on tickets for Kids that actually cost approx 5 x times more in the 1st place



I agree with numerous other posters that making the savings % wise more in line with other stands would attract more people in general not just to change stands as I have to think twice as my youngest (who is 6) does miss the occasional game so I have to question wether it's worth it?

I still can't get my head round this bit either. When MH refers to package is he referring to potential challenge cup games, even so it still wouldn't add up?

Maybe MH is including the Magic game which you get half price aswell.

Im sure that normally the early bird finishes before the fixtures come out as a marketing ploy so you cant say im not going to renew because im going to miss x number of games due to holidays. The fixtures normally come out after the last international of the year if im not corrected.

Do I pay £9 less and have to try and fight for a seat on the big games whilst putting up with chavs?

OR do I pay the extra £9 and keep my seat smack on halfway and put up with people who don't know the rules or like any of the players?
