Did you see the Manly/Canterbury game? It was an awesome display of fast flowing exciting rugby. An amazing spectacle....in that weather too!

The biggest urban myth going. The NRL is fantastic, i guess though if you do not like players with pace flair and skill, who rip into each other at ridiculous intensity then its not the comp for you.

Thats about it. People that don't enjoy the NRL are probably those same people who thought Tony Smith got the WC squad right and can't understand how Higham didnt scoot the trophy home.

just watched Canterbury and Manly ,NRL is light years ahead of SL I'm afraid. Just take both leagues for what they are and enjoy them !

There is a lot more dross in the NRL than there was couple of years ago.

This has been done to death. The fact is it was (with probably the odd exception) the best squad available. We just weren't good enough.

I though for a long time now the standard of our junior and academy/reserve leagues in this country has more to do with our poor performance at test level than the standard of SL. This, and the standard of coaching in this country are the 2 things that need addressing the most.

A few of is have been banging on about the reserve and academy standard for years.

The better players are not getting tested. Last night Wigan beat Leeds 60 - 12 at reserve level. What good does that do either team?

Exactaly. Leeds recognised this this a couple of years ago. Which is generally why the best U18s play in the reserves, and the best U21s go out on loan or come into the first team.

It's a matter of personal choice you di[ipsh[/iit. I prefer to watch SL but it doesn't mean i don't like or watch the NRL. Doesn't make me right, doesn't make the bollox you write any more plausible either. Urban Myth doesn't come into it - it's just opinion and a personal preference.

If anyone honestly believes that Leeds were at last night's level against Manly then they are deluded.

You could see in the games leading up to it and against Warrington last week that they have been playing poor. There was only going to be one result against Manly.

Last night however, Leeds started to show patches of form and maybe it was two weeks too late but hey-ho they can kick on and have another great season.

To suggest last night's win has any bearing on Super League vs NRL is just sour grapes and stinks of Wigan fans trying to find some comfort in defeat.
Instead of discrediting Leeds I suggest you take a long hard look at your own team.

if you'd have taken the time to read many of the posts on the wigan board or spoken to wigan fans you'd know that we already have and we don't like what we see.

I have taken the time and perhaps my comment was slightly generalising but it was aimed more at a few people who make ridiculous comments.
