Tommy is a 9 IMO and he should stay there and only cover 6/7 if injuries occur. Get sam playing a few games this year than if good enough make him a starting 7.

We SHOULD have 3 quota spots available at the end of the season (Phelps, Smith, Bailey).

We should use one on a experiance NRL stand off to play alongside Sam (I would be very happy with a Matt Orford type player)

We should use another to get a prop top class experiance one who'll be with us for at least 3 seasons. He should replace Coley. Luke Bailey would be ideal.

Not sure about the final quota spot. Any ideas?

I expect Carmont to sign for one more year aswell.

I don't think we should have the mentality 'we have one more quota spot, who can we get' we should concerntrate on bringing youngsters through and if they aren't up to it use that quota spot on a replacement for Carmont when he goes

That would be awesome and a real possiblity that is, with the money that will be freed up.
Fielden will not be a guarentee for a new contract though so we could see a big change in the pack.

Would take Greensheilds aswell he's a fantastic player IMO cant see the pair of them wanting to leave Catalan.

I would love Dobson back myself for 2010. Long kicking game has been a issue this season and Dobson always seems to manage to turn the Fb around. He's a player I can see wanting to come back to Wigan.

I would love Greenshields to come and play at Wigan he is top quality and still underated even though he was in the dream team.

I would take Dobson as well.

As good as Dobson was/is i believe we should be looking for a more experienced player than him. Somebody who has been around the block once or twice. Trent was a good example of this as he knew what to do in certain situations, i am afraid another ozzie seems to be the way forward in this position as i just cannot see an alternative other than Tomkins being played. I believe he needs another seasons preparation however.

I know him and Sam would be very inexperienced but give it a year or 2 and we would have a world class half back partnership for the next 8-10 years

hmmmm could be the future england pairing if they continue to improve, Myler and Sam would be great for the future but not really what we need now. Shame really

True its not what we need now but I definitely wouldn't mind waiting and watching them develop for a couple of years and reaping the rewards later down the line

Who is Tomkins half back partner in the reserves?, trather than blast a load on another Aussie why not bring them both through for 2010, at least they will already be used to each others style of play also would not cost the earth so could blast a huge chunk on 2 house props and a decent centre
