Most of the people in intensive care / ICU are unvaccinated. Go figure!

The problem with that statistic is it doesn’t tell the whole story or give any context behind it. It’s just another sensationalised statistic for people to read in the media.

Why doesn’t the news report that the majority of people in hospital are vaccinated?

Do you mean the people in Hospital with other illnesses or those in Hospital with Covid ?

If you mean with Covid then I'm afraid the majority (Statistically) are Unvaccinated & on ICU's it's around 90% Unvaccinated (As of about a week ago)

Now I'm sure there's going to be some twisting and turning in your reply but it is a statistical fact (See Itchy I didn't use capitals

) that you are far more likely to catch, transmit, be hospitalised, end up on ICU and Die if you are unvaccinated than if you are the last 3 being the Key statistic.

Afraid that statistic that was quoted has been proved incorrect (believe it was quoted on GMTV by Dr Hilary) the majority of people in hospital statistically are vaccinated.

There is literally no way of confirming that given you aren’t comparing a like for like comparison.

Also, if the majority of people were in hospital with “something else” and they just happen to test positive with covid, then why the spike in hospital cases? Wouldn’t the overall cases compare similar to normal periods for same time of year?

Now don’t get me wrong it would be helpful to know how many are in hospital with covid vs because of covid but I am sure the government are aware and factor this into decision making.

His statistic was wrong as he said 90% hospitalised when in fact it was 35%
Even that though shows statistically you are far more likely to be hospitalised as there are approx (and at the time of the statement 82% were double jabbed) 4 to 5 times as many people double jabbed. Per 100,000 people currently you are something like 10x times more likely to be hospitalised if you are unvaccinated

Which again shows that, converting it to per 100,000, you are far far more likely to be hospitalised/ocu or die from covid if you are unvaccinated

The 90% quoted figure I had seen regarding ICU was “up to 90% in ICU are unvaccinated” which again, miss represents the true facts.

Do you have a link to the above so that I can have a look at it? Btw I am not trying to argue here I am genuinely interested in seeing an article and data to support without a media slant on it.

I am pro vax but pro choice and as far as the government goes they had parties whilst we were under house arrest and lied about it so how can you trust them

Because if there 100,000 vaccinated and 100,000 unvaccinated or 1million of each then there would far more of the unvaccinated hospitalised, in icu and die. Never mind how less likely you are to co tract or transmit in the first place.

So you are far more likely if you are unvaccinated to experience one of those 3

You are missing the point, it isn’t a comparable test based on age, weight, medical history. Plus, if you are vaxxed you can’t then be unvaxxed to see what would have happened and vice versa.

The fact that you have put a bunch of made up numbers in for illustration means absolutely nothing.

If you are trying to make out that the only reason the higher per capita of people dying unvaxxed is because medically they are more at risk and thus are more susceptible to experience issues then that is one MASSIVE step (Sorry Itchy for the caps).

As an individual each has their own right to do what they want

As a society it is 100% fact that statistically you are far more likely to end up in ICU or Die if you are unvaxxed as compared to a similar aged/Health etc. person who is vaccinated.

The key word here being “similar” even then I still can’t see how anyone can claim that as fact.

Before you do, can we please define what we mean by vaccinated is it 1, 1 and 2 or 1, 2 and 3?

omicron is less deadly than flu so stop over hyping the situation thats the point here / more elderly unvaxed may be in icu and snuff it yes I agree but leave the rest alone who are young fit and dont want jabbing thats all
