Sorry if its been mentioned, but rumour (on our board) is that Newton is coming back to wigan next year. He would at least inject some passion, but is not the player he once was and his return would surely spell the end of Micky Mc's time at wigan. Anyone heard the same?

it's been mentioned a couple of times, absolutely mistake if true imo. Riddell is here to stay as far as we know at the moment, and Leuluai needs to be moved to hooker pronto! MM has also played decently enough this year to warrant keeping him around for another year. Essentially hooker is an area where we have enough personnel, just need a bit better coaching/fitness training.

All players in our current team, never mind previous years, none of those players who have bee signed are good enough to play in a Wigan RL team that can be a top 2 side. Roberts and Riddell I did not see much of before Wigan but none of them have impressed me.

I personally think Riddell will be one of the players to really florish under a new coach, we have lacked options across the park especially round the marker, it may be too late to see any huge changes this year but next year i would hope this would be an area we would look to significantly improve in.

How is Riddell going to florish exactly? He was always average.

Well were stuck with him at the moment, I'd be willing to give him a chance under the new coach to see if he improves, but if not then another one for the scrapper.

TBH I think Riddell and Roberts would flourish under a new coach.

Roberts will be good if Wigan got a decent passing number 7 who could make the space for the centres.

I've not wrote off either Roberts or Riddell just yet or a number of other players that have been underpreforming during the past god knows how long.

This squad has very few out and out no marks in it imo but it does have plenty of players with alot of room for improvment who need a kick up the a*se.

Were a good coach and a couple of players off having a top 3 side imo.

I'm reading nothing into the Finch piece in the Observer tbh. It was only the same article that was on the Sydney morning Herald website and by the sounds of it he's not made his mind up on anything yet and is possibly just trying to up any deal he may be able to get over here.

The only time you will see Riddell flourish is at TGI Fridays.

If we sign Griffin Lenegan had better have signed a world class prop from Aus.

And even then Griffin is a crap signing.

As i understand it Griffin deal has been agreed, or had been more of less, recent events may have an effect on this but prior to this week it was more or less a done deal.
