Wigan are poised to announce the capture of England centre Martin Gleeson, who could make his debut in Thursday's Super League derby against his old club St Helens.
The Warriors are closing in on the capture of the 28-year-old Gleeson, who was left out of Warrington's team to play York in the Challenge Cup on Saturday.
Had he played for the Wolves, he would have been cup-tied for his new club.
Wigan are thought to have initially offered full-back Richard Mathers and centre Darrell Goulding in exchange for the England international, who was born in Wigan before being brought up in Australia.
