All of the commentators, pundits, and even the Hull FC coach thought it should have been given as a try.

Although you won't admit it, you're wrong. The ball doesn't pop out until Clubb tries to spin over to try and ground it. Carlos has a good grip on the all but it's Clubbs job to keep hold of the ball.
And if your on about wrong calls by the referee and linesmen. Start with Marshalls foot on the whitewash which gave you the ball back to go and score.

I agree it looked like Marshall had a foot on the line but that was out and out the only 50/50 call that went our way. Hull were better and deserve the win. Sneyd kicked us to death.

Sneyd and Houghton played the full 80 and bossed the game. MM couldn't even manage the first 20 mins before needing a rest, and Leuluai was his usual ineffective self. For the rest of the season we should bin the part-timer MM, put Leuluai to hooker for the full 80 and give Powell a chance to show he is the half back he claims to be.

We are not good enough at #'s 2, 7, 8, 9, 10...simple as that...we do not have the skills (be it kicking or creativity), go forward or defense of other teams.

I think maybe Manfredi/Davies would solve the wing issue as its unfair on Marshall who was on the wrong side. However, Leuluai, Micky Mc, FPN, Sutton are just not good enough and I must add I don't think putting Tautai or Clubb in at 8 or 10 would solve things.

Sneyd in particular was lethal with his kicks and we simply have no answer for that, not one player on the roster is even close to his level. Taylor/Watts/Green/Bowden dominated and Houghton makes Micky Mc look average at best.

There is no easy fix, and where the team goes from here or how it finishes the season is anyones guess...lets just sit tight and see.

Considering Betham sent it up as a no try I'd say your wrong there and if it happened in the field of play he'd had given a knock on.
I'd also say you're wrong about Child been able to see it was raked out, since, you know, he said it wasn't.

thank you for posting this. Having been at the game and subsequently on TV, I can understand the debate, but I cannot see why the three pundits were calling it the wrong call. Clubb loses the ball when he twists to get in a better position to ground the ball. Tuimevave had hands over the ball to pr event the gounding (as you would expect). Clubb did not respect possession.

We can argue all day,the fact is Hull are home with the trophy.

This is something we could debate all day long. Unless we completely remove it and go back to the pre SC days of course. Even if we doubled the cap, we'd only have the same pool of players to choose from, they'd just be paid more!

The SC in NRL is so much higher that we'll never compete for their players and they'll always be able to cherry pick players from Superleague.
