That praying worked then
Team is pretty easy to select if everyone is fit.
1. Sam Tomkins
2. Darrell Goulding
3. Martin Gleeson
4. George Carmont
5. Pat Richards
6. Paul Deacon
7. Thomas Leuluai
8. Stuart Fielden
9. Mark Riddell
10. Andy Coley
11. Harrison Hansen
12. Joel Tomkins
13. Sean O'loughlin
-------------------------------------
14. Mike McIlorum
15. Feka Paleaasina
16. Paul Prescott
17. Liam Farrell
I suspect Leeds to lineup like so:
1. Brent Webb
2. Scott Donald
3. Brett Delaney
4. Keith Senior
5. Ryan Hall
6. Kevin Sinfield
7. Rob Burrow
8. Kylie Leuluai
9. Danny Buderus
10 Ryan Bailey
11. Jamie Jones Buchanan
12. Ian Kirke
13. Carl Ablett
-------------------------------
14. Matt Diskin
15. Greg Eastwood
16. Ali Lauititi
17. Chris Clarkson
Say what you like about Leeds - that's still a very strong squad IMO.

Then why have a prop at prop? Might as well have another backrower there instead if they're not going to drive it in hard. I know what people are saying about playing four props but I just really don't rate Prescott and think Tuson looks a much better player to have in the team

| Quote ="Major Tom"What I mean is we should have 4 props; Fielden, Coley, Feka and Prescott who I think brings a lot more than Tuson because of his size and the fact he's played in these games before.
There is no way Farrell or Tuson would do a better job at prop than Prescott. That is ludicrous. He makes more meters than either, is far bigger and has played in more games of the level of Saturdays game. He's also made fewer errors than Farrell despite playing more games. I think Prescott is undervalued, I'm not saying he's top class or should start but he certainly adds to the team and is definitely a better prop than Farrell or Tuson would be and probably better than Hansen at prop too.
And starting Feka? I get the feeling you're just taking the mickey.'"
When the two men in your sig went off v Leeds our momentum quickly ended, I don't think that's any coincidence. If one of them was on the bench we wouldn't have that lull after 20 mins. Also starting Feka in a match that's likely to start with loads of big hits and maybe some biff can't be that ridiculous an idea. I'd rather have him on then than when the teams settle down and start moving the ball about.

| I just hope that Madge doesn't drop Feka now that almost everyone is fit. It is imperative that we play with 4 main line props, so much as I like Tuson, he doesn't have the beef/physical presence that Feka provides.
For all his critics, Feka played in the away league wins against Warrington, Saints and Leeds. He did not play in the 2 cup games against Leeds, nor against Warrington at home which we all lost.
I just pray that Deacon is also 100% fit if he is picked. Otherwise, it would be like the first Play Off game against Leeds again ( playing with only 16 men). His kicking and distribution do give us another dimension, but with Lockers at stand off, and another 6 forwards on the park, as against HKR, our defence looked stronger than it has for several months.
Pros and cons, horses for courses! Madge and Waney to decide. I myself would keep the same team as against HKR and win the physical contest with 7 "forwards" in the middle of the park.

I don't see how I am. We went with 3 props, Hansen as a make shift and Chris Tuson & our forwards were well beaten. Greg Eastwood was outstanding - Man of the match IIRC.

And 25+ appearances this season (Basically picked every time he's been fit) seems to suggest MAguire does rate him.
As far him not Driving it in Hard, Are you having a Laugh! I do admit that he's got to work on his Penalties etc but the Impact at Contact and how much he takes out of the Opposition forwards in attack & Defence is Pretty Good.
PS
All this talk of him Hitting & Dropping! Some people must be watching a different game to me, it's only a couple of months ago the ones who dint' want Prescott in the team were complaing he did too much wrestling etc AFTER contact and O'Carroll was a better player because he hit & Dropped and got a Quicker PTB!
Basically, until O'C or Mossop etc are back i.e Next season, then we Go with 4 x Main line props & 3 x Back rowers & a Back up 9.

It also coincided with Piggy going off and Tuson & MM coming on, don't try & lay it all at Prescott/Fekas Door.
I agree that we lose something when Coley/Fielden go off, but it certainly Helps when it's Prescott & Feka coming on to replace them rather than Tuson/Hansen.
I think it's been underestimated how much we missed Feka in the Leeds game to carry on the momentum that Fielden & Coley gave us, it was as Big a problem as losing Deacon and reshuffling.

| I really would be tempted to start joel tomkins on the bench. Last time out against leeds we lacked impact off the bench when our replacement forwards came on. I think chucking joel on the bench would provide us with an ace up our pack straight from the kick off because leeds will be waiting for the introduction of him and feka.
for me I'd go.

For me the turning point last time was Piggy going off and Eastwood coming on, we could not deal with him last time out and he changed the game, gave them all the forward momentum. If we attempt to tackle him like we did last time out, ie 2 up nobody down round the legs he may very well do the same this week too when he comes on.

I can see where you're coming from, but with how fiery this game's going to be I'd want our strongest possible side on the pitch for the opening exchanges.
