The annual Yawnion version of that is a massive event. Crowds anywhere from 40-60k. A League version marketed well could be a significant hit I think.

Danny Brough played for and captained Scotland in the World Cup. Decided atfer that he was too good and wanted to play for England. England said no thanks so Scotland took him back. A few good games for the Giants and once again he is too good for us and wants to play for England . Mr Bannana thinks "that might be a good idea" and picks him.

Danny Brough out injured (REALLY GUTTED FOR THE LAD). Pity it would have been interesting to see him and Kevin (it's ma ball) Sinfield fighting with each other to see who takes the kicks on the sixth tackle .

I think you understand the point being made.

I understand it perfectly, the lad is English and due to his form over the last couple of years and an injury to our first choice hooker he has an opportunity to play for his country and he has taken it, before that he qualified to play for Ireland and as he wasn't selected to play for England he opted to play for Ireland. Can you blame him? Its all within the rules.

I have no issue with him what so ever and I don't think anyone else does. I'd do exactly the same thing. What I do have issues with, are the rules of the game. I do believe that you pick your country and stick with it. This weakens Ireland considerably just to cover an injury in the English team.

This is an argument for another day though.

Exiles by at least 8 for me. My money will be going on that. Englands backs bar Tomkins are tripe! And with Brough being injured the half backs are even worse!

Who cares? A thread on almost every board, a 16-page thread on the VT, players in both squads saying they can't wait for Friday.
Even those who claim to have no interest in the game have come on here to give their view on the match.

Come the Four Nations Sam at full back, Widdop to play stand off and Brough at 7.

As with Wigan games I tend to talk about what I think the score will be rather than the attendance when in the pub with the lads. I reckon the Exiles will win by 10.

My point exactly, it wont take off, there is no demand (for whatever reason) for international or origin rugby in this country, end of. Christ we couldnt even anywere near fill the DW for England v Australia a few months back, this is a desperate last ditch attempt from the RFL to bring in more revenue from an "origin" style game like Lancs v Yorks, im going to predict a crowd of 12k and then it never happens again and we'll have Players v Players wives next season.

We was debating whether it will be a success wasnt we.....the attendance will reflect if its a success or not. See above post.
