| Quote ="Wigan/Leeds Andy"Lets hope Joel gets a long ban for leading with the elbow, and then has to spend time in the U20s until he gets another go in the first team. His indiscipline was one of the reasons we didn't see the game out against Stains and could easily have cost us two today. If I was an opposition coach I'd wind him up all match because it's only a matter of time before the brain fart happens, one of which some day is going to cost us a huge game unless he grows up.'"
He reacted to being pushed several times by Yeaman (who threw the first punch if I'm recalling it correctly). Anyone would react to that. Giving him the ball after the tap was moronic though.

Without a shadow of a doubt he certainly threw at least the first three punches.

| Yeaman Pushed Joel 4 times, the touch judge started to come on at this point, then Joel turned to him and Yeaman started throwing punches. He started the whole thing. Joel tried to walk away from it for the first 3 times he got shoved. Should have both been off for 10 mind. Can't argue if Joel gets a few matches but Yeaman had it coming all match. FC got away with murder tonight, they got warned too many times too.

| Quote ="thepriestman85"Lol you should get some sort of award for the most amount of BS posted on this forum.
I was directly in front of the first rumble and Yeamen punched Joel three times in the face simply because Joel said something to him. If that isn’t a sin bin or sending off offence then what is? Ganson bottled the situation by not sending Yeamen to the bin and ending it there
I don’t dispute Joel lead with the elbow and I also don’t dispute it’s a red card but he’s not the only person to blame for the situation but yet has copped all the punishment and he’s the only one facing a ban?'"
I take it if he pleads guilty like Lima it doesn't mean he actually did it like you claimed with Lima - now what were you saying about BS?

ATEOTD unlike you i prefer to actually base my opinions off what i saw. I still stand by my original opinion that Lima didn’t do anything. I saw the incident and it’s conclusive nothing happened.
Who know maybe Joel can claim a ban will effect his human rights or something lol.

| Who's bright idea was it to send Joel in first man, straight from the tap? It looked bad from my seat and my first reaction was that he was going to walk - 2 games minimum. Both players in the bin would have sent the message and calmed the game right down.
If a ref had let so much stuff go in a NW Counties game, there would have been a major riot. If the ref doesn't deal with it, eventually the players will. He'll probably end up either doing the Huddersfield or the Leeds game next weekend

What was the fabricated penalty to Hull FC for at the end?

It's a really bad incident that’s for sure but no worse than Yeamen’s three punches to Joel’s face.
Both Joel’s and Yeamen’s actions were intended to cause injury to another player but I’ve no doubt Joel will take 100% of the punishment.

Probably not but it's the lack of proper action which has annoyed a lot of Wigan fans.
The penalty count isn’t everything as I’d argue a few of the incidents deserved a hell of a lot more than a simple penalty giving against Hull.

lol Really, i hate Ganson as much as you but this is rugby not football. You win a very entertaining game but still moan about it. I'll not comment on the sending off or the fight until I've seen the replay's on TV. Oh and for all those who complain about Sam getting some heavy treatment need to look at what he does, like i say this is rugby and normally what goes around will come around if you upset other players with dirty tactics,

Probably fairly even - the problem wasn't the penalties so much as the lack of any further action for persistent foul play. Normally, after a player gets an official warning (with the captain informed), a second offence gets a yellow card. That didn't happen with Manu, even after a second warning.
The difference was the most of the penalities we conceded were for technical offences (offsides, ball steals and the like), whereas Hull were conceding them for high shots, grapple tackles, tackling a man in the air and punching.

Have to agree with the other poster - hits Yeaman in the chest, then the arms come up.
Nice cheap shot by Fitzgibbon on that tackle too - a punch to J. Tomkins kidneys.

I'm not 100% sure here but is it the same after the ball has bounced and the player jumps. my understanding is that it should not have even been a pen.

Exactly. It was the nature of the foul play that he let them get away with which built up the pressure and caused it to kick off.
