Actually the night before that I drove to a party in golborne as I don't drink and they did exactly that they stopped me to breathalise me and claimed they'd clocked me at 60 in a 40 to which I corrected th that not only is it a 30 but I was doing little over 25 as I was lost looking for the right place so needless to say you're exactly right as they gave me a producer which told me they were from Wigan. They also harassed me on my choice of car despite the fact he was aware I was a student. What does he want a flipping Audi?

Back on topic, if these sh.it bags aren't recognised away after these photos then they might as well fook away with CCTV. How clear are they?

As rough as Wigan is, it's nowhere near as bad as some of the other dumps in this country.

Wigan is the best night out ever compared to leigh...

Trust me mate try living there..not a nice place for a night out..but not been to wigan for a night out for a while..so I'm not comparing just stating that St Helens can be far from friendly...I have first hand experience!.

I dont know how old you are but i was brought up during the sixties when deterents were in place for anyone who stepped outside the law and whatever you may think, there was certainly a great more respect and fear of the law than what there is in todays society, i should know as i was no angel.
I know the idiots in question in relation to this incident were probaby under the influence of alcohol but so are many others, they dont all go around beating people to a pulp.
The fact is, whether you like it or not, the law as a whole today is a complets ass and people in many cases have no option than to take the law into their own hands out of desperation, because the law fails to protect them so many times, and like i said in my last post, the situation will remain so untill politicians and law lords have the gumption to make radical changes that will protect society and take away the need for people to take such desperate actions.

no messing in them days with courts and criminals rights.......if these guys had been fighting in scholes in the 60s this bobby would have them round the back of a dark alley and knock the out of em.
thats why there was less trouble then.....the idiots were scared to death of the police, especially this sergeant (somebody must know him).
sadly these days their hands are tied and the criminals laugh in their faces knowing that a good solicitor and a weak judicial system will lead to a slap on the wrist.

I'm over 50 and well remember being afraid of the police and the legal system. And i agree we should be tougher... Drink is not the only problem out there.... We got full on beer, now its high % alcohol and drugs.... its not so straight forward... i have been on a murder jury and seen the potential effects of these actions, and tried to help someone getting beaten up, and ended up with a lump of 3x2 around my head. But vigilantes!!!!!...

Lets this face it. This kind of inceident is all too common and its not just wigan. This happens in every town or city up and down the country. Until we get tougher on this kind of behaviour, nothing will change

Not being funny but with all the money invested in CCTV in Wigan I would assume there would be better images of the attackers than those. It would be rather trivial to then use facebook to positively ID them.

I witnessed a mass brawl (bouncers included) outside jumpin jacks last night. Luckily enough the old bill soon arrived on scene!

Obviously you go more often than I have (I've only been 3/4 times) but generally have found it to be a decent night.

Anywhere can be a rough night out, it all depends on whether the hooligans are out or not.

Doesn't surprise me with Jumping Jacks. It can be on par with Pada Bar and Wigan Pier for idiots that place at times.

Sad to hear that the victim is someone who at times posts on this board. He doesn't want to be named but has asked me to post some bigger versions of the original pictures to see if they can help at all.

Hope the scum are found and thrown away soon... Guy in question is back at home, and on the mend. Hope he recovers completely soon.
