So after the last three weeks do you still want Morgan to replace Noble?

A 30 point home defeat.
Has Noble delivered that after the initial few Millward games?

Or would McDermott now be "flavour of the month"?

I still have faith in Noble though, I have said my reasons on here many times.

Didn't he cite support, history and tradtion as the main attractions behind his reasons reasons for jumping ship? Says it all really. See Latics are in the top 10 premier league debt list at £66M. Relegation would signal the end for those plucky little scrappers.

Wonder how long Martinez will last. He's played a nice brand of passing football at Swansea. With the players he has available at Latics it would be suicide in the Premier League.

Justin Morgan to Wigan.

No better than Noble IMO.

How do you know how good a coach he is though? How good he is with the players and stuff?

If I was chairman I'd offer top dollar, in this order, to:

Wayne Bennett
Gus Gould
Nathan Brown

Then I'd sit back and see what happens.

Agreed. Let him prove himself then maybe we can have a look at him.

Morgan has done more in his short time, up against it, than Noble ever has. Achievement is relative, its not about winning trophies it is about maximising your resources Morgan in relative terms is a far more successful coach than Noble.

The other thing is his players seem to buy into him and play for him. I am not convinced outside Bradford the same can be said for Noble.

Personally I'd be more than happy with trophies.

Noble has taken us from rock bottom to being a title challenging side in the previous 2 seasons. We have finished 2nd for the last 2 years and made 2 challenge cup semi finals.

Morgan has taken Hull KR from the 2nd tier to a few bottom half of the table finishes.

This season I have not included for either teams as it's not over yet.

Some would argue that Noble has taken us further.

I will personally wee my pants with joy if we win a trophy this season.

Regards Morgan he has punched way above his weight with 2 clubs now. In my opinion Noble has not.

Could that not mean he has overachieved with those clube then?

All I was trying to do was put some reality back into the equation.

Morgan was "flavour of the month" from the we want Noble out campaigners.

What would they be saying now if we had been humiliated by Harlequins?

Or would they be shouting "get Brian McDermott in"

Bear in mind, that McDermott is from the same coaching school as Brian Noble.

Well personally I am not that fickle, im not sure given the players KR had out today they were expected to win, Quins are a talented side when they want to be but generally they are very dour dull and make basic errors time and time again. They are capable of the odd anomaly good performance though they certainly have the players.........same coaching pool as Noble..........interesting.

The coaching pool argument is something i have highlighted for a while, tonight in my opinion adds more evidence into the theory.

An overachieveing team has a bad night, missing key players but still underperforms, Quins an frustrating under performing team hit the straps, then will get run through next week putting in a shocking performance.

Par for the course?

Well given we didn't finish second for the last two years (we would have to have made the GF to do that and we didn't) and we didn't make the cup semi last year you need to get your facts right.

And if we have been a title challenging side than so has every team that made the play offs in the last two years. It isn't saying a great deal.

You are letting two wins in the play offs for 2007 and 2008 blind you to the poor performances in the league in those years and those poor performances are what left us with too much to do in the playoffs to actually make the GF itself.
