What is the incentive and to whom for purposely skewing the death rates by writing Covid on each death certificate?

I do believe in lockdowns when needed as they work (keep the NHS from in effect closing doors as it was close to doing), I believe that this country has dealt with the pandemic better than the states who used the great barrington decleration method in numerous places, so child abuse has increased how? Because we have children there? Im sure it would have happened anyway and cant be blamed on anyone but the abuser, your right there wasnt a vaccine for these thats why it is still around unlike smallpox which did have a vaccine and was eradicated, was that not a lesson in how to deal with a severe killer? The flu figures must be skewed also as people die every year with it and there isnt even a test just sympoms so is put down as "flu" as ONE of the reason of death (you can have more than one), so check out, ok so ill use a highly republican populated state also and this gives a cases of 4.8m v 8.4 and deaths at 76k v 59k, if you wanted a fairer view v Wisconsin with a lightly density state, as for the great barrington declaration I find it dangerous and by the looks of it was open to be abused..read below

It masks what people are actually dying of so you do not get accurate data.

I think the one thing this thread is showing and the board as a whole is this place is dead with regards to anything RL-related. I can’t say I’ve ever posted much over the years but always enjoyed reading things, even if I don’t tend to agree with them.

On what basis are you saying that the UK has performed better than the USA , or any other country for that matter. The deaths resulting from this Chinese disaster will be happening for years, if not decades! Why not compare us with Sweden? What do you think are the aims of the Great barring Agreement? I will have a bet with you that Covid is still in the world in 10 years time irrespective of vaccinations. People need antibodies and the best way to get them is natural infection. Flu? We have got vaccinations for that and guess what they don't eradicate it. What about people dying with cancer who can't get treatment from the NHS?

because it mutates every year and not everyone has it so thats really a moot point, they cant get treatment due to covid being so rife and taking away resources, like I said my sister is a nurse on the ICU and can ensure you its a killer and EVERY single person in there atm with covid is non vaccinated, these people who refuse it are taking away the resources and putting it under pressure, the US have the highest death toll and cases in the world, they were and still are very blase about it, my american friend still refers to it as "the flu" although his brother has just come out of hospital with it. Did lockdown not allow the hospitals to recover? the answer is yes so it worked, thats all it was meant to do, so yes I agree with them as if they are done right as like you said you wont abide and I know countless other who wont and to be fair havent all the way through so we will always be fighting a losing battle similar to masks as they were never going to work with the ignorance of people.

You couldn’t be anymore wrong. Police were sent to [isome [/i COVID breaches early doors but for obvious reasons higher priority incidents took precedence. Moving forward with Government finding teams were set up on overtime to literally go to COVID breaches only.

Crimes weren’t ignored in favour of COVID breaches and to suggest otherwise is laughable to be honest.

Looks like the covid card can't be played next season, 48-0 forfeit if team fails to complete fixture and points % system is no more according to reports on social media

You've more faith in them than I have. It is not long ago that it was revealed that GMP hadn't recorded 80,000 cases! Their detection rate must be on the floor.

Not so much faith as first hand experience, though not GMP admittedly. That was some time ago now and I know full well the almost draconian and harsh measures the new Chief has brought in to GMP to turn them around from what was undoubtedly a shambles.

I think I saw a figure the other day saying 7/10 or similar that are in ICU or are seriously ill are unvaccinated.

Whilst I agree that we cannot keep vaccinating everyone every 6 months, at the moment it seems to be the best option. The evidence of that is the large number of cases we have and the fact the hospital admissions and deaths is low compared to 1 year ago.

The government has messed up a lot of things the last couple of years but they may have got this one right by design or by chance.

What I do think is absolutely hilarious is the army of people who spout rubbish about the government taking away our rights or the government doing this to control us. It’s dangerous to spread that type of rhetoric and plain moronic. There isn’t any incentive for the government to be doing all of this. They don’t benefit from all of the lockdowns, it’s crippling the country financially.
