If anyone has evidence that Wane and others within the club have acted in a way that is apparently so shocking, then surely they should contact IL with this information?

There are so many strong statements being made.

"IL will sack people when he finds out what's going on." "Other players want to leave as well."

Clearly some nasty stories are doing the rounds, but it all seems a bit ludicrous - the notion that so many fans and players know about this, but the chairman, who is no fool, doesn't.

I still think people should be wary of stuff they get told in pubs, etc.

Yeah exactly. Good old Mr Wane got his friend involved in the whole Gleeson mess to help out, which only escalated the situation.
Hock did the best thing to get out, don't want x y and z being brought into your place of work, just not safe.

Ok so if it's not rugby related, then why has this not been put to IL. Wane is not the mafia, he's not going to be leaving horses heads in Hock's and IL's bed.

If Wane was doing anything unrelated to rugby, then Hock would not be asking for yet more money to stay at Wigan, he would not be refusing to train. He would not sit opposite IL with his agent and say he did not want to play for Wigan anymore, he would sit there and tell IL, that he had a Mob boss as a coach, x,y and z.

You don't escape trouble by playing in Widnes.

It all sounds so implausable it's more than difficult to believe. At best, it sounds like the conspiracy theorists gone wild, at worst an attempt to undermine Wane, by those with an agenda.

I think it's a case of believe what you like. At times I've read things on here and questioned the truth, so it's understandable why people blame Hock.
It's an issue which has many sides, the money (asking for a pay rise) is a separate issue to what lead to Hock;s departure.

People on here are quick to dismiss this and that, but there is a lot to this, involves people you don't wanna mess with, Hock etc is better keeping his head down and getting out of the way, he knows this and that's exactly what he's done.

Some of the stories I'm hearing sound so far away from any truth, it's unbelievable yet some of them are so complex that they can't possibly be made up.

At the end of the day people will believe what they want and the majority will blindly believe the club no matter what the situation. I am personally swinging towards what IL has said but I'm not 100% convinced that it's as simple as what he's said in his statement. One thing I am convinced about is we'll never actually find out the whole story.

People love to think they know something someone else doesnt but as soon as they are pressed it all starts to unravel with the same type of excuses as we have read for about 30 pages.

There are many stories doing the rounds and I've heard several via people at Salford, Leigh and other places, but this one has details I wouldn't expect anyone to fabricate, and even a little evidence to back it up.

As someone who criticised Hock earlier in the thread, [iIF[/i what I've heard is true I retract that criticism. I just hope it's not.

Just to be objectionable as i have only heard a few bits and bobs regarding the "truth". Is it not possible that these rumours could not have been created purely to slander SW and to protect GH?

Seems strange that within his negotiations with IL and via his agent no-one seems to have mentioned to IL that these things are going on?

And if they have and IL has chosen to do what he has (Ignore it?) then I can only assume that he's in on the whole thing?

Even then you would think that Hock would be able to speak to the players union etc about it not to mention any official law enforcement people.

If "The Issue" that started all of this is Hock related then I fail to see how moving 10 miles to another club is going to stop this from happening.

If thge issue is Wane related and he brought the problem into the club to deal with Hocks problems then number 1 - Hock started the original problem & 2 - I fail to see how if there wasn't an issue to begin with & Wane brought the problem into the club how it could be shielded from the Chairman who is currently standing by him - Unless you think that IL is in on it?

Top line for me is this

If there is some 3rd party involved then either Hock was involved in something he shouldnt have been in the first place and got said 3rd party involved OR Wane dealt with afore mentioned issue by bringing said 3rd party into it and wether you like that way of dealing with things or not there was already an issue to begin with.

If there wasn't an issue with Hock to begin with until Wane created one then I can't understand how this would get past IL and why the other players that are going to Leave because of it aren't running to anyone who'll listen about this?

If Wane was involved in anything to do with what happened with Gleeson then I don't remember Gleeson Bad mouthing Wigan or its officals rather the opposite & wasn't Maguire the coach at the time so surely he would have been in on it?

Oh and PPS - I've heard the numerous rumours & to be honest I'd heard them nearly 3 months ago and I'm afraid that none of them seems plausible enough to me to lead me to believe that things where so bad Hock couldn't have spoken out in one way or another or in fact any of his actions since i.e Being relatively Happy with a move to Widnes - show that the problem was as bad as what the rumours suggest.

Could be but it's damned elaborate if it is and certain aspects related to the story are actual verifiable facts anyway.



It's quite possible but what makes it hard to believe is if it is true it really is quite shocking. I'd also expect it to come out one way or the other if there was anything in it sooner or later. What I will say is IL was left with no option given the way things ended up with Hock but that doesn't mean there are not others who's actions forced Hock down this path in the first place. If it is true and does come out heads will roll. All the stuff about the shirt, pay rises, not training are nothing to do with it.
