Why is it i've got this horrible feeling that the game will be a let down win or lose. I'm normally optimistic, must be something in the water.

I really hope the game lives upto the hype because the hype has been huge.

The key to whether we win or not is down to what MM decides to do with the backs after Phelpsy's injury. Amos has improved massively in attack but what is he like under pressure from a big winger when a decent kicker puts one into the air? Wire hammered him in the cup last year and I can't see any evidence to suggest he has improved in this area, in fact, as good as he was against Rovers last week, he made a mistake in this situation that (indirectly) led to a try. The difference between Wire and Rovers is that Wire will exploit this weakness again and again whereas Rovers only did it once. If Amos plays FB he probably wont be under as much pressure from kicks the way the game is these days and we should be ok but we need to be realistic. Some Wigan fans on here are just inviting the gloaters if we lose. Have we even beaten Warrington in the league at the HJ yet?

This has got to be the most eagerly anticipated game between the two clubs in years due to the following factors;

both teams are on top of their games.
apart from a couple of injuries here and there both teams are pretty healthy and near full strength.
both clubs now have decent head coaches who are highly respected in the game.
the game is a virtual sell out which will guarantee a belting atmosphere.
both teams have exciting players who have the ability to play great rugby.
and last but not least these games always have an edge to them.

My prediction, wire win after a tight fought contest. Wires will win the day when their pack starts dominating the Wigan pack.

Its amazing how things change in sport, Wigan used to be a town that was noted for its rugby league team where the town also supported a small footballl club, it seems to have gone full circle these days with Wigan now being noted as a footballing town that has a small rugby club.
