Probably because thats the away stand which has been allocated to the Warrington fans, just tickets for that stand were sent to Warrington and the fact that apart from the odd person every now and then the fans dont really segregate at the DW stadium unless Saints are in town and they are allocated a strip of the east stand.

Maybe Wigan fans should be offered a segregated strip of the north stand, not because there would be issues with mixing fans, but to not distort the atmosphere for either sets of fans.

I think it would depend how many tickets were left on Friday as to whether you could pay on the day. In any instance you would have to purchase tickets from the office, so I expect you could until they are all sold out.

I am getting a bit bored of the wire bashing now over attendances. If any fan of either wigan or wire isn't at the game, then IMO its their loss. I have my ticket and can't wait.. It should be a blinder..

Looks like a certain sell-out in the Wigan end then and you would think wire would shift the rest of their tickets, probably around 2,000. The shifted that many or maybe more leading up to the saints game.

I remember the days when Latics used to give the entire East Stand to away fans. I once went when they played Sunderland(i think) and they had brought 8,000 with them! was pretty unbelievable to see!

Not sure what he meant by that but on a similar note I find it strange that when the tickets for the game at the HJ went on sale earlier in the season, Wire were selling tickets for the So called "Away" end to the Wolfs fans at the same time if not earlier than when they were passed onto Wigan.

Next thing we had was SLIMply the Blah Blah Blah on giving us stick that we'd only sold 2500k (Or whatever it was) and we couldn't get it through to him that we could only sell out what we were given?
Plenty Wigan fans then bought tickets from Wire for what would normally be classed as their traditional ends and we end up with Mixed fnas in the "Away" end leading to a bit of Agro etc.

The East was the away end for a few years until we got into the PL.

Correct, They only changed the "Away" stand to the North Stand once they got into the Prem.

Previous to that it was always the East Stand that was the Away Stand.
