| What's all this talk of the next prop to come in?
We have 4 fit frontline props at the moment
If one of them were to get injured I think Hock could make the plunge for a game or 2 and give Mossop his chance in the 2nd row
We have played with 3 props on several occasions under Noble so I don't think it will be too much of a problem anyway

| Big blow to Eamon and the team. He had been given his chance and earned himself a first team spot & is very unlucky with this injury. I wish him a speedy recovery.
However this does mean that another prop forward who has been knocking at the door for the last few weeks gets to keep his place - Paul Prescott. He had a good game at Salford and will be looking to build on that. He will no doubt be wanting to emulate O'carroll's performances in the first team.
Good news about Hock and Pryce.

He does and he will. Salford was only his second competitive rugby league match in two years and in both games he has been played out of position as he prefers to play at centre.
We need to show some patience and play him in his proper position before we see the best of Karl Pryce. Once he finds his feet though Karl Pryce will be a valuable asset to the club.

At the moment I think it would be a bit silly to go throwing him in at centre even if it is his preferred position
3 or so games on the wing and if he is good enough then put him at centre

Your not allowed to say stuff like that about Pryce don't you know? How dare he be given time after two seasons out?
On a side note we officially have our three hated players for this season. Last season it was Higham, Colbon and Calderwood this season people seem to hate Mathers, Goulding and Pryce more than any others in the squad?
Can’t really see what use some people think knocking Pryce will achieve.

To be fair though Mathers Smith and Coley (bar the last couple weeks) deserve it
Probably Phelps and Goulding too

I think he would get caught out for pace and he seems to pick up knocks as well
Not to mention we have only just sured up our right hand side defence so to change it around again I think is unnecessary

Do we have a centre apart from Carmont that doesn't get caught out for pace?
Phil Bailey got torn apart against Leeds. At least Pryce would offer us something more in attack.

Have we? What's changed? Your comment suggests that we know what our best side is. I don't think we do and neither does Noble. He drops Roberts one week has tried Goulding, Phelps and Bailey at centre. He changes our backs around a lot and I don't believe he knows everyones best position. I don't think we have a definite combination in the backs.
I don't think I would change things for Huddersfield though because Pryce picked up an injury but for the Barrow game I would give him a go at centre.
We need to show some patience with Pryce. The guy has only played 2 super league games after 2 years out of rugby league. Both games he was out of his preferred position. It is not an excuse it is facts. I don't think he is as bad as people are making out in defense. The only defensive errors I have seen of him have been from high kicks and not one on one tackles which is he was playing at centre he would not have to deal with.

I think our best combination down the right (at the moment) is Bailey and Roberts. I think Noble changed Pryce for Amos because Pryce had been doing well for the reserves and Amos had a poor game against Leeds so if he was to be true to his word about picking on form he had to pick Pryce.
But on Friday it seemed to me like Pryce was nowhere near ready to play super league yet because he seemed very slow and easily injured so he should stay in the reserves or go on loan and if he does play first team we should ease him on the wing where it is less demanding.
I agree we need patience with Pryce but he needs to show at least some promise before the season is over
I think Bailey has been solid at centre for us this season and is our best option for us there at the moment.

We can show patience by starting him out on the Wing until he gets back to his best.

Generally in agreement with this. I wasn't surprised to see Pryce picked ahead of Roberts but, sadly IMO, he looks way off the pace. Roberts as first choice for me now - but I really hope he pulls his socks up soon.
