| Mike Gregory hadn't been a head coach previously either but for my money was doing a superb job before being tragically cut down before his time.
This guy will do ok - I can feel it in my water!  |

Technically Maguire has some experience of being a head coach as he looks after the Melbourne side when Bellamay was of coaching the Blues for Origin...not sure how good his record was though!

Brisbane chief executive Bruno Cullen has made it clear he will leave no stone unturned in the search for Bennett's successor – and Maguire is almost certain to come under consideration.

Felt a bit sad for BN the other day... along with the disappointment of the loss...
But thank god they made the announcement this week rather than letting it go on... as my excitement is now at Pre-season levels!!!!
Getting a new coach is always a gamble.. no matter how good they have been before at other clubs, but the fact he is eager to learn and develop not only himself but others is the key to success in any form of life...
"The incompetent person of tommorow is the person who stops learning"-
Maguire is obviously young and eager to succeed, I just know that with Wane and MM we are going to see a fitter/stronger more skilled and game aware team.
Its funny how Ive just remembered that I need to renew my season ticket before the renewal deadline... Bring on 2010...
