The official line was he was dropped due to poor form. Whether it was that or him wanting to go back home to hull depends on which poster you want to believe.

Many thanks. Can't be due to poor form as he is ten times more effective than the likes of Crosby and Pettybourne. Even Flower has been a tad disappointing this season. We are really weak as far as props go and if Taylor isn't injured then his absence is inexplicable.

Very hard to believe that Taylor would (or already has seeing that hes not getting picked) give moments like that up to play for Hull.

He will never get that at Hull - he needs to have a word with Harrison Hansen who is obviously missing it - being in the changing rooms with the Wigan lads singing last night, I wouldnt be so happy about that if I was a Salford fan.

our best props appear to change on a week by week basis. last night benny and dom were immense. the week before eddie and clubb were excellent. throughout the season taylor and sutton have had good spells.
no single prop has been consistent week after week which makes the selection difficult.
however, as we have beaten wire, leeds, hudds, wire in our last 4 games i cannot see the pack changing for OT.

Why are people always negative about eddie i just dont understand where it comes from when you take into consideration that its his first year over here and he has had a terrible time with injury,i think we will see the best of him next season after he has had a full pre season with wigan

hi form dropped when he was being nagged by his missus to move back to Hull, and the 4 props playing now are doing what is needed with wins against Leeds, Wire, Hudds, Wire.......making it hard for Shaun to drop one of them and bring him back in......

McIlorum might not be our most talented player, but he's our most important.

He very much sets the tone in defence. When he goes off the intensity drops and we start giving up metres.

As a club we don't spend much money on transfers, but we need to find a player that can spell McIlorum for 20-30 minutes without the obvious drop off. He doesn't have to be in the same mould, per se, but we certainly lack a quality backup.

Powell is much better in the Halves, like Williams. They can 'do a job', but it's not ideal.

McIlorum played the full 80 in the GF last year - I expect he'll need to do the same next Saturday.

to the untrained eye it looks like he'll be playing with double vision as well as a broken cheekbone

taylor was in the 19 on friday,just not selected,someone is giving this lad some very bad advise.wanting to go to oz i can understand but hull words fail me.

He's ill discipline really put us under the pump in crucial part of the game when we were defending for our lives in the SH. Personally I think Taylor and Flower or are two best props. Don't think his lack of selection is anything to do with form.

Clubb's lack of discipline was a momentum changer on Friday - it was right up with with Dudson at his most braindead.

I think Clubb has impressed this season and seems to have got better towards the end of the year but he does need to retain his discipline, especially on Saturday when Saints will be desperate to gain some field position.

As for Taylor I would be surprised to see him play for Wigan again.

TBH i think he is going to you.

He is the second best prop for me after Flower (even after yesterday) at the club and for him to be on the bench ever since the rumours of him going to Hull he has not been picked. The real rumours were for me started around July-August and he has not played that many games sine then.

Same for Goulding it smells of if they are going then they will not play again for me by Wane to some degree. If he goes your getting a good player.

I just read in the Hull newspapers that Taylor has been told that he is not wanted by Wigan and he will be going out on loan to Huddersfield.
With Flower expected to get a long suspension, that will leave Wigan very short up front.

Not sure if there was ever any truth in it (probably just paper talk), but if Taylor does go to Huddersfield for a year's loan, could we revive our (rumoured) interest in Larne Patrick?
