A terrific 8 years from Pat. I'm upset he's going but as posted above, he's done more than enough for Wigan. Lets hope he goes home with another SL winners ring.

is Amos Roberts fit yet?

I am not too disappointed from a playing point of view. Yes he has been a quality player and still is but I think he is losing a yard of pace each season. His kicking will be missed.

What will be interesting is to see who we replace him with. I do not think we can keep relying on promoting kids. With Sam looking set to go, and Richards too we are losing experience and points.

To chuck 2 young lads in and expect to maintain the same standard of performance is not realistic.

We are signing Wendell Sailor as Pat's replacement so Amos can play FB instead of Sam

It was once rumoured that with Sam departure we'll be signing 3 new players as part of the deal. Maybe some of the new players will cover the losses.

This may sound weird but the other night I had a dream that Amos was playing on the wing for us again in just his normal clothes and everyone was screaming at him telling him he was retired

The best winger we have had since Robinson / Offiah. The best goal kicker since Botica. Legend. He will be missed but he is at the wrong side of 30 so we would have lost him sooner or later.

I am suprised the NRL want him with their youth policy as they normally breed young wingers + fullbacks like nobodys business. Hopefully he will get a coaching gig at Wests.

He deserves to make the decision that is best for his family! He has been a great overseas players and will be tough to replace his level of output.

Pats children will be about school age so that will be a big factor in them moving back home. He certainly doesn't owe Wigan anything and has been one of our best overseas signings.

Whoever plays left wing next season, there'll be a huge hole both on and off the pitch at the club with Pat going. Of all the players to have left since 2010, this feels the worse for some reason.

Only 1 we could have issues replacing.

Though be honest were you one of the people who were unhappy when Smith and Green were announced as our new 6 and 7 for this season. Pat is virtually irreplaceable. There are better wingers out there there are better kickers not many but. There is no better Winger goal kicker in Super League.
