To be honest, Wigan can be a pretty bleak place in the winter. But I think the interview comes over as being a bit whingey.

As others have said, pointing out that Wigan is not Madrid is unlikely to be news to anyone.

Most of the Aussies who come to us from great cities like Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne etc embrace the Wigan culture which shows if everyones one tight unit they enjoy it more and settle in better

It's different though in the sense that they are all from different countries and cultures. Not really the same camraderie as Rugby League. Also the inflated wages they get, sadly, make them lose touch with the humble man on the street.

He has done. he was a second division footballer in spain and now he's in one of the top leagues in world football. Admittedly playing for the 18th best team.
