Where ever it will be i doubt we will much over 20k thats being optomistic,will saints fans travel in numbers to a soccer ground.

after reading the thread on the same subject on their board its very doubtful they would travel to Liverpool it would defo be a lower crowd than you would expect imo.

I'd refuse to go if the Wigan fans had to stand in the Kop. Makes me feel nauseous just thinking about it.

No way would i stand in the kop. I think the home team would get the kop anyway and the rat munchers are entitled to it. I'm praying its Goodison.

Please god not Goodison. It's awful, although I've only ever sat in the away end. Maybe the ends are better there. I fainted with heat stroke last time I went to Anfield. I reccommend it, got a free brew and biscuits out the St John Ambulance.

I reckon there are more Liverpool/Wigan RL fans than any other football club. Loads of Everton, United & City too but definately more Liverpool fans.

And one of our finest hours was at Anfield.

In response to the thread title I'd happily watch us smash St Helens in the local park. As long as we're smashing em I don't care where I'm watching it.

It would be a good ground for this game at 16.8k it's big enough, yet not too big. At Anfield or Goodison even a 25k crowd would still have an 'empty' feel to it

Lets have a double header game!! Even though the more I think about the more I think it would be a risk as there would be crowd trouble. But...

Salford v Warrington or Leigh v Widnes

followed by...

Saints v Wigan

...at the City of Manchester Stadium!

If it has to be either Anfield or Goodison, I'd hope for the latter. A few reasons:

i) slightly smaller so would have less of an empty feeling
ii) has a number of hilariously bad views in the gwladys street end for the sts fans to sit in.
iii) unobstructed view from the other end (more than likely where the away fans would be)
iv) the thought of seeing a load of red vees on the hallowed kop makes me physically ill


v) having rugby played at Goodison just gives an excuse for Moyes to have yet another pointless moan

Don't care where we play them but Wigan v Penrith was totally crap from what I remember.
