No it's not the same. They are all cr*p on the Super League show because the do the commentaries "off tube" as they call it.

When did he have his charisma bypass too? Seriously, just because he's leeds captain doesn't mean he'd be a good guest. Kear was enthusiastic but Sinfield was just dull. Really, really dull. Get Burrow back on.

it may not sit too well with the 'victim complex' that some people have developed this season but Kear was very complimentary about our play this year.

I thought that too actually. But I don't think the victim complex thing is completely unjustified. Look where we are in the table, and look how far down the pecking order we were in terms of importance. They shoehorned us in right near the end.

I admit the Humberside derby is a big event, but it's no bigger this week than the Wigan v Wire derby.

And if Sinfield is 'inspirational', there must be another meaning to the word over in Yorkshire that I'm not aware of. He was scruffy and dirty, and looked like he couldn't be d giving more than a monosyllabic mutter to any question he was asked. Awful.

It's like the film the 'Invasion' with Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman, a remake of 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers' where aliens take over peoples bodies and they don't ever show emotion or personality etc.

I can't stand how every week Harry has had to say 'Are Wigan the real deal?' Can't he think of anything else to say after we win?

Sinfield has to be the most boring man I have ever listened to. They shouldn't put the show on that late on a Monday and then let someone that boring speak on it. It is a recipe for narcolepsy!

I think I read somewhere that the SL Show is filmed at some ungodly hour on a Sunday morning (7:30 I think), which could explain why there's hardly any guests from over here on

Think the MOTD commentator is Jackie Oakley, not a fan. I don't think the emotion is really their in her voice like say Alan Green.

TBH I.m not sure what off tube means but I think I could probably guess. Her commentary of the Leeds HKR match sounded like she wasn't sure whether she was supposed to be doing a "live" commentary or a summary over the pictures similar to Rod Studd's on Boots n all the tries. Either way she seemed to do a confused combination of the two and it sounded bad... very bad.

That's it. "off tube" means they are commentating in a studio watching the tv. They are all like that on the Super League show. You can tell in how the speak they know a try is coming up.

Week on week the Rhinos players sit there, representing their club to talk about their game (plus others).

Thought they'd have had him on for the WCC game if they were ever going too. Would have made sense.

I think its in Harry's shed and he just choses whoever's kipped over at his the night before to come on tele.

thought I'd missed the mention of the Wigan game but seemingly not judging by the comments here. Can't make the game this week but got my ticket for the Hull derby tomorrow which I'd swap for the chance to go to Wigan in a heartbeat. Wasn't sure of the terminology regarding the commentary but it was really obvious it wasn't live. Got the impression she had limited knowledge of the players' names too. Dire but not surprising from such a crap programme. Any ideas why our highlights on there and the SL site seem to be getting shorter too? Glad I get the DVDs
