They ought not to be classed as "fans" of any sport then. I was one of Terry Newton's more outspoken detractors but once upon a time I thought he was like no other, and in the past few hours it has hit me what a waste of a life it is.

So, any minute's silence will be supported by myself and my family to show love and respect to his family.

i hope not not just for how bad it will make us saints look but for hes family and them two little girls who would be watching

There have been times this season when some Wigan fans have been disrespectful through similar silences (leting phones off, giggling, excessive coughing....etc). I hope ALL fans show some respect for 60 seconds on Saturday.

Apparently Wigan is rammed and not many places to park.

Just seen the he pass the DW. Very emotional even for a hardened Leyther myself and very fitting for the hundreds that applauded as Terry paused briefly outside the DW. I'm sure his funeral will be a hugely emotional occasion. May he rest in peace.

I was at Robin Park this afternoon so went over to the Stadium to join the fans in paying respect and even as a Saints fan I found it very emotional. Great turn out there to, and I am sure even more will be at the Church.
