To be fair it was a good piece of skill from Meli as he actually looked up to see who was in front of him, if it had been anyone else I think he would have just tried to run over them not kick it. Granted Feka should have made it a little harder for him to get round him. I think that Meli wouldn't have got round Dean Bell

I agree. When he runs from deep he makes good ground, when he recieves the ball stood flat he doesn't. Thats the only criticism I can have of Madge, part of being a good coach is using what you have as best you can, not ignoring players you don't like.

Like it or not Feka is at Wigan for the rest of the season and can bring something to the side. He works hard on defense, and can still charge it up. I wish we'd use him better!

Saying that Tuson was outstanding, catching Moore was brilliant. That was a prop chasing down a half back, great effort.

Given that Madge obviously doesn't rate Feca what is Ben Davies' situation at Widnes? Why not bring him back until O'Carroll is fit?

I think he is out on loan and not a dual registration player so it may be more difficult to get him back though that said he has played a game for us v Crusaders. Maybe that was all in the agreement anyway - to give him at least one 1st team game at Wigan this season as I think several of the younger players have the promise of a game.

Maybe im being a bit harsh but i think he should of just played the percentages and given the officials a decision to make at least.

I agree, you would have gotten more out of Davies. Both in attack and defence.

Tuson was playing at Prop and Moore was playing at 7, in that game it was therefore a prop chasing down a halfback, it sounds better than Second Row chasing down a Hooker

Fielden was good for you, made a couple of good runs at 45 degrees that made it into half breaks - he was certainly pumped up at the beginning.
I thought Prescott was perhaps better as the 80 went on, he seemed to make some real hard yards at times. Have youtied up his contact (or any of your props contracts) for next year?

With Quins, Cats & Salford the next three up perhaps it's time to give Davies a run in the first team. He seemed to do ok at Crusaders

Exactly. I think he (or any other prop who had done it) deserves credit for getting across to cover when our threequarters had been sucked in. It was within a fingernail of working (in fact, arguably, it did work!), whereas it would have been an easy score if he hadn't got there.

What I find odd, is the whole conditioning ethos that seems to radiate at wigan. Feka looked as big yesterday as ive ever seen him but at the start of the season im sure people on here commented he had shed a load of weight.

He seemed to lose a few stones before the start of the season, now he seems as big as ever

maybe he is out of favor for this reason, either way we cant afford for him to be on the bench and do just 15 minutes

He did seem ready to come back on on Sunday with about 10/15 minutes left but that plan changed when Pryce went off and bailey moved to centre.

I ve been a huge fan of feka for last few years but this season he s defo not up to super league standard for me that was his last game

When we get the likes of Hansen, Lockers, Mossop and O'Carroll back I expect Davies to get some game time.

With Farrell and Tuson in the team I think it's too much to ask.

Ben Davies. He's been tearing it up at Widnes and impressed in the pre-season friendly at Leigh. He's long overdue being given his shot IMO.
