| Faz named in the saracens team
[urlhttps://saracens.com/team-news-saracens-men-v-leicester-tigers-gpr-rd-4/[/url
Quote It has been fantastic to be back at Sarries this week and be back with everyone. It’s always nice to come back after a while away and we’re now all really excited to get stuck in to the season all together.'"
Hope he doesn't get hurt doing his 5 carries and 8 tackles, he's got a gruelling pre season coming up

I know he's been in union for years but union is the sport he had to learn from scratch he was pretty average at it .
Rugby league comes naturally to him he would be amazing for us id go as far as saying he would be the best ball playing loose forward in the comp I really believe it wouldn't be a gamble atall'"
Came naturally to him, its past tense and that was 18 years ago...

| Farrell in rugby league was a lifetime a go ludicrous to think he could make the switch now no matter how good a player was back when he was a kid and how good a union player he is it's just to long ago now.
5 years ago is say yes he could make the move over but he's well into his 30s his time has gone

Would be a shame if true. I had assumed that we didn't keep him because Wire wanted him back. If he goes to Saints then that suggests we either wouldn't pay the transfer fee or didn't think he was worth the cap space.
Another possibility is that Wire wanted to keep him so we signed Keighran, and now circumstances have changed and they're happy to let him leave. Maybe Burgess doesn't rate him

It's both
They have a chance of signing Olam
To do that they would need to relieve salary cap space and a Quota space
Talk of Kassiano and King to Saints , Warrington paying some of their wages to enable that
Maybe the rumour mill is in overdrive because Saints were originally in for Olam and because they may need a forward, so 2+2 =5
I'm not convinced it's more than just talk and can't see Saints wanting either or both.
From an outsiders POV not only would Saints be receiving 2 players that I don't think they would really want (or need), and I'm only saying that as I don't think that they think either would would be a significant improvement on what they have or could get elsewhere, they would also be helping Warringron out and improving them.

I would p*** my pants if Saints signed Kasiano to add to their already 'World Class & SL Best' pack

Why? It's a very smart signing imo.
Wire obviously have major cultural issues. IL alluded to it and performances on the pitch - with them most getting relegated in 22 and scraping into the playoffs in 23 is all you need to know. (Still baffles me that super coach Shaun picked so many of them).
Burgess will, at the very least, be demanding 100% effort from his players. He'll be expected to change the cultural there too. Powell is the type of player you bring in for that job. If I was Burgess & going into a mess like Wire, I'd be stacking my squad with guys like Sam.

Because they have Walker & Dwyer already signed. I mean odd from a positional sense unless they plan to play Powell elsewhere
IF its true of course

By the looks of it there was a change of heart over Dwyer, but the deal was already done. I just assume Burgess doesn't rate him. Bad from a salary cap pov, but I can see why Burgess wants Powell in and is willing to take that hit.

To a degree a coach has to work within the confines of what he's got, but at the same time if you've got someone like Dwyer then you're onto a hiding to nothing imo. It's very much a case of dead money on the cap Vs not performing on the field.

I’d be amazed if they signed him. Just doesn’t play like a Saints forward.
I don’t know about world class but Saints have definitely got a very good pack. Experienced, mobile and very aggressive. If we get the 2019 Thompson then we possibly imo just about tip it. In Smithies and KPP we have 2 really good lads but hopefully Walters and Thompson can as a minimum keep us on at least a similar standing and maybe even move us to the next level.
I’m already looking forward to Good Friday.

| It’s hard to judge anyone at Wire because everyone becomes a bad player there in this past 2 or 3 years (it’s like Man U in football). Look at Tony King for example. Sam Kasiano was a good player for Catalans and while he is past his best years, I could see them getting a tune from him for a year, especially in the absence of Paasi.

| Looks like Powell to Warrington is a done deal.
Good luck to him, think he will be a good signing for them as he will bring some much needed on and off field direction and leadership to their club.

Clearly to offset King coming back to the dressing room with a winners ring haha they don’t want to many players crowding round him to marvel at it. Good signing for the leadership and great in defence however might slow down the feed to Williams. Good luck to the lad been a great servant of Wigan. The Dwyer signing now appears wasted cap money.

| Saw a rumour Dwyer may move on to Salford without playing a game for them. Talk also of Partington going to Wire and then Shorrocks to Salford. That would all fit in terms of filling positions for those teams and it would keep their Wigan quotas up!

That all actually makes perfect sense despite the complexity of it all.
Dwyer and Walker are both “scooting” 9s.
Powell and Walker makes much more sense.
Partington has been a target for Warrington for some time and Salford need a senior 9.
Shorrocks needs to be playing first team, but unfortunately his opportunities will be limited with us.
