Only just seen his interview on Wigan tv, a very mature response to all the questions. There more I see and hear from him the more I like him. The sky’s the limit for this lad if he can keep clear of major injuries and continue to progress with the help of the coaching team.

I'd love to see it, but there's no way it's going to happen. I suppose, just conceivably if the so-called Farrell deal turns out to be nothing, but if OF does come, then there'd be no room on the cap, not without further losses, and we don't want those ... everything's neatly balanced at the mo.

Personally, if the idea of the OF deal is true, I hope the club are treating that pot of money as a separate one to anything else.

On the playing side of things and outside of the marquee rule, it's a massive opportunity for Danson to not only flex his cash, but gain a massive advantage. Getting talent from outside of the sport is an avenue that no other club have either really explored, or have the funds to exploit properly. Make no mistake about it, there's some serious talent in RU and if we can leverage that, outside of the cap - then it's a win win.

Absolutely, whether there is anything in the Owen Farrell deal or not the sport in this country should be looking to RU in Wales and England for talent. The big wages are just not going to be on offer as widely as before in the other code and for players who can see that their international ambitions are not going to be realised, jumping ship to RL should be a realistic back up option.

Good luck to him. It’s a shame his body has let him down in this second spell because I thought there were some really good signs there when he got on the field. He was an absolute handful in quite a few games. Fingers crossed he stays fit at Wakey and if so, he’ll go well for them.
