| It’s the replay by the poster Dan replies to that I love. Something like ‘I feel like it’s a chance now you’ve said it Dan’….ha ha. He’s lost a bit of the relentlessness of his ‘rumours’ nowadays but he still throws the odd educated guess…sorry, rumour on there.
In other news Powell may go, Shorrocks may go, Smithies likely is going and we’re in talks with Farrell and one other unnamed player…I guessed/made all that up but if any come in, I’m claiming them! It’s as easy as that.

Could be true as there isn't a specific time mentioned it doesn't say "Turned down this week" just that we are one of several Super League clubs who looked into bringing him back. Entirely possible we explored signing him in say June before we had decided to extend Miski's deal and Grace's one year deal at Racing was expiring.

I’d be amazed if there were any truth in it, especially given he has still not played a game since his last Saints game due to a recurrence of his injury.

Yeah, BS I would say, at best we may have enquired earlier this year before we tied Miski down for next year.

| Apart from which, he's not really a Wigan style winger anyway. Doubt there's much in that article beyond click bait.

| I wonder which club Cade Cust will end up at - hope his next move works out. His attitude since coming to Wigan (particularly when he's been out of the team) has been outstanding.

| Quote ="jonh"It’s classic Dan too.
He confirms absolutely nothing other than what everyone else has said, it isn’t just a rumour, things are happening he may or may not sign.
If he is coming this will have been rapped up long before now.
Can’t imagine Saracens will be sat there letting him take his time and go into the new season which I think already is underway without any idea if their prized asset and most high profile player was going to be with them for the 23/24 season.
I am now starting to think it will happen, it just seems like the timing is perfect for it for both Wigan and the player himself.'"
I believe that a deal for Farrell has been agreed with some commercials to be resolved by Farrell’s agent.

I’m not sure that’s a rumour.
It’s something I speculated on when we were initially linked with him.
I do except him to go on loan for a good bit of 2024 but with the changes at Trinity today of coach and chairman relationships may not be as strong as they were with the previous coach particularly.

| Eseh is a terrific signing for you.
Seen as you have so many forwards do you think you can lend us Harvie Hill or Eseh or Nsemba please?
Be happier to have Walters though ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif)

| Quote = "Saddo"I'd have most of the wingers in Super League ahead of Miski. He's benefitting from playing in a Wigan side that has very good backs and creative plenty of walk-ins for their wingers. You put Miski in the Cas team, he wouldn't score more than 5 tries a season. You put Greg Eden on the wing for Wigan, he'd score 30+.'"

Hill to London would be an incredible move.
Personally, I think Eseh should do 12 months with us before any long term loan deals. He needs to get "Wigan fit", or at least start on that journey. He can do stints at other teams, like Hill has done, but should be in the Wigan environment as much as possible.

| So parking the Owen Farrell rumour for the minute and assuming Smithies has gone - how do we lineup next season?
Field
Miski
Keighran
Wardle
Marshall
French
Smith
Dupree
Leeming
Havard
Walters
Faz
Thompson
-------------
Isa/Nsemba
O'Neill
Ellis/Mago
Byrne/Cooper
Suppose the only debate is really how you rank our prop forwards

O’Neill too good to be a bench player, and a good engine too. He starts for me, Leeming provides impact, O’Neill to LF adds a double up element to that impact with good hands at 13. Said it before and I’ll say it again; we’ll miss Smithies link play which was massively underrated.

| Quote of the week from Redvee, and it took some choosing:
It’s going to be interesting for Wigan next season. I was always worried more about them attacking from deep with their pace, closer to our try line I fancied us to hold them.
If they are more dominant in the pack, making more yards…will that reduce how effective their pacy backs are

I don’t get the hype around Grace. He himself had a great team around him and benefitted from it. He a great finisher and open space could be lethal but those opportunities come few and far between. Makinson is the complete package can cart the ball up and finish. Miski isn’t the fastest but can cart the ball up in those early carries and Miski . I’d much rather have a player like Miski than grace

We’re not messing about when it comes to investment in to the club. That would be a pretty major appointment. I can’t help but look towards the money being ploughed in by Mike Danson and thank Ian Lenagan for what looks to be his final gift for the club. To find the club a new owner, who is cash rich and cares about it as a fan, is something he can be extremely proud of and one that gives us such relief as supporters.
