It's not poor as it's local radio.

They are always going to have a home side bias and it's understandable.

Was his name something like David Doyle Davidson, over on Radio Humberside? Truly one of the worst I have ever heard, including screaming hysterically for Hull, shouting "Get em onside!" and screaming "Yeeeaaaah!" whenever they were in. An absolute prat of the first order.

That Yorkshire commentating was cringeworthy, got several names wrong and had a pop at the referee at every opportunity. I had wish on for most of it but had to keep flicking over when wish went off.

Slightly disappointed we took our foot off the gas but I had a feeling we would struggle today so, all in all a good win.

Bradford fans were hilarious today with their insane calling for forwards and laying on. They were blown off the park in the first half before the game turned scrappy in the 2nd half.

As for us Green was impressive in the first half as was Smith. I thought Hansen looked strong on his return and Crosby and Burke continued their good form. Overall though Faz was Man of the match by miles. He really is some player and his hatrick try was a beauty.

We've played better this year but job done.

Thought you were the best I've seen at odsal in the first half. Really like Farrell he is immense. Quite clear to see why you're top of the league with the ruthless way you won the game in the first half.

How did Langley play today? I think he could make a very good experienced prop for us next season as i believe he's OOC?

With all due respect to Bradford you've been poor for a while now and i think Langley has done well to stay with you through it.

I've always rated him and though injuries have stopped him from having a proper dominant run i've always liked him as a player.

Same can we said for Scruton who again is a good player but has been unlucky with not only injuries but the players around him.

Great to see Hansen back in the team, his defence is quite simply immense.

Greg Burke was superb today, as was Jack Hughes, Dom Crosby and Blake Green.

We obviously shut off in the second half but that can be forgiven after the perfect first half performance. Strange weather conditions as usual at Bradford played a big factor in the game.

What I particularly liked about today was the way we adapted to the conditions, and to the way they were defending. Partly because of the wind and slippery surface, partly because they were staying wide in defence, our recent expansive game wouldn't have worked as well as it has been, so we went back to a forward battle and beat them in the middle.

That wind was something else !

Nearly got blown off the road on the way there on the tops on M62.

The technology used is old technology to be honest, but it's still what everyone uses in radio. The problems were genuinely out of control with BBC Radio Leeds sat behind us also suffering problems with the connection socket at the ground. We did try to soldier on at one point but we had deafening noise in the headset which is why Mark the commentator voluntarily handing back at one stage. It wasn't helped either that their were six different stations doing coverage which meant we couldn't move. Anyway for all the problems we did only miss one try and got the whole second half on at least. I think also I have mention what a small budget wish fm have to work with. They are not the BBC with a licence fee to fund them. They are doing their best to provide commentary on six teams (Wigan, Saints, Warrington, Widnes, Latics, Bolton Wanderers) across three stations that only two years ago didn't have any commercial radio coverage.

Don't do 6 teams then. Just do Wigan and be glad for it as well

I don't think too many fans know how dilapidated some of our grounds are when it comes to press, radio & TV facilities.
Some only have the odd one or two three pin sockets.
Other are short of ISDN slots.
I can think of one new brand spanking stadium that forgot to put in a press box with the appropriate equipment. The place was opened and then they had to go back and put in the electrical equipment later.

Indeed. Lack of ISDN slots was the issue we had. The one we had to use was faulty and thus we had to share someone elses which was also faulty but less so. I also literally had to climb over the press bench to get into my seat yesterday and climb out of it after - their was no moving for two hours + once sat in there!

Ah well I expect much better at Hull FC - although we are well up in the gods I believe!
