| Briers does what he does, we tried the same play around three times and Lee just took advantage of our predictable play..

| Your interpretation is correct which is why it annoys me when ppl scream and shout that players are in front of the ref so offside.

| Listening to the ref/linesmen on a scanner, I honestly lost count how many times the touchies called Wire offside, either at the scrum, (5m) or at the play the ball, it was Briers offside left, 'AND INVOLVED' only to be waved away with a quiet, 'ply on' from Silverwood.
Good on Briers for getting away with what he can, but it is about time that we had a little more consistency all round really.
Great game nonetheless and without Briers, Wire would have been very ordinary, so you can't knock him really.
I agree though that we should have run at him when he was groggy and also at Chris Bridgewhen he was seeing stars, but I am sure that Waney will look at decisions liek this during the week.

Was it not? Makes it worse then I was in the south as I used to have a Season ticket in the east but work means I can only get to about 3-4 games a year that was my 1st and I needed a holiday to make that one. Anyway yeah I couldn't hear the other stands so I didn't know others did it. Surprised wire fans aren't kicking off about that Tbh.

Get over myself? I didn't realise I'd posted any comments about myself. As for Briers, I would hope nobody would go so far as to applaud professional fouls or ungentlemanly conduct just because a player plays for them. I've rarely commented on Briers and 90% of what he does is brilliant for his team, even when it stretches the rules, but I reserve the right to call him on it when he breaks them.

Didn't you see the blood capsule get splatted on the side of Briers head to stop play ? If its good enough for Yawnion & Harlequins its good enough for Super League & Wire !
Pathetic thread.

I wouldn't draw attention to that ill-fated League Leaders shield if I were you. The last thing you really had to clap about was the CC win back in 2010.

| Got to say my admiration for Briers went up a few notches last night. He was battered with blood pouring from his head and wobbling all over the shop yet refused to go off and that takes guts.
He's a cocky moaning sh*te but he's a cracking player and a real danger to us whenever we play them.

Who cares about attendances? Those who care about RL - bigger crowds mean more interest in the game and more money for the sport.
It's simple really. A bit like a lot of Wire fans.

Mate, you keep saying this but read the rule above again. If the ref has retired the 10 then he is indicating the point where the players should be. The only exception is when the ref stays at the play the ball in which case the linesman is generally used as the 10 metre marker. The way you're interpreting this would be a free for all with players themselves being the sole arbiters of whether they are back 10 or not!

| I would concede that Wigan have bigger crowds and Wigan have louder support and that Wigan are the best team to ever play rugby (although they are all patently not true)
All that matters, and every single person here knows it, is that 22-20 to Warrington.
You threw away a win and it is the sweetest taste in the world!

| Briers was the difference, as he usually is when Wire beat us.
However, unless he was play acting (which again, wouldn't put it past him ) there is no way he should have been allowed to stay on the pitch. The bloke hardly could stand up at one point, decision should have been taken out of his hands by the trainer.

I don't think anybody was cheering the injury itself. I assume people were cheering because he was about to leave the field. There is a difference.

Last year at Cardiff Briers was Knocked out cold against Huddersfield, plenty of Wigan fans dancing about and cheering that day yet we was nt playing each other!!!!
I will go with the first one your club as a few numpties who like to make a joke about a injured or prone player, but on the other hand every team in super league as a few numpties like that also..

He could sense the opportunity to come across as a hero in a tight game, that's all.

To be honest, I wanted him out 4 or 5 years ago at the same time as the Cullen protest.

I bet you are glad he didn't leave.
I don't think anybody in super league reads the game better than he does. He lacks pace and yet still found breaks in our line.
I can only imagine how good he could have been under Tony Smith earlier in his career when he had more pace.
