A ban was totally right for any contact with the eyes, but if Ablett has put his hand/fingers on someone else's eyes then he needs banning too. As I said earlier though, I shan't hold my breath.

Fair play for pointing these out. It was a rough tough game and I didn't think either side were paticularly out of order, no surprise to see a load of bitching and moaning about Leeds on here though, whilst conveniently skipping over anything Wigan might have done.

I'm afraid they're the facts. As I said in my next post Peacock makes more high shots than Bailey, but then you don't notice that because you like Peacock, presumably because he projects a different image. Bailey goes out to antagonise and irritate, that's his game, like it or not. It's very effective.

You could go on every Super League board and find people spouting all sorts of stuff about Tomkins (and prior to him leaving his brother as well), but that doesn't necessarily make it true, so I'm not sure of the relevance of that particular point.

Bailey has elements of his game that are unsavoury, but the fact is that we love having him in our side and so would you if he was a Wigan player. Every team has one. Lauaki is a penalty waiting to happen and dishes out his fair share of cheap shots himself. I dare say it won't stop you backing him to the hilt should any criticism come his way though.

Just watched the game on TV. There's an amusing moment when it kicks off between McIIorum and Haraki. Hock runs in to break up the fight as do other players. Hock realises Ablett is next to him in the scuffle and gives him a swift poke with the elbow, then the players have to get between them.

Bailey comes across as a bit of an idiot, niggly as all heck. Fans from every other club seem to believe that the only reason he hasn't been regularly beaten to a pulp (as he's such a cowardly lion) is that somehow its impossible for other teams' 'hard men' to get to him as he runs away. That is comedy gold. Willie Mason found Fielden alright - as could any forward individually get to any other if they want to.

Fielden squared up to Mason, he didnt run away. I have yet to see Bailey square up to anyone above 5'6" or anyone above the age of 20.

He is a niggly idiot but when it gets tough he doesnt stand to face the music he runs off and stands behind Rob Burrow. He gives it the big un to people who he thinks he can bully or people who he thinks wont hit back. Ive not seen him give any poop to anybody who is likely to chin him.
