I say Wigan dig their heels in and request / demand its played in the UK.

Us Wigan fans have been a long time waiting to get to play in a WCC match and because it suits the Aussies, we are having to travel now ?

Not to mention the possible disruption to our season, it could be catastrophic.

Australia, as much as id be disappointed, makes sense, as the Aussies have longed to play it over there, and Wigan gives them the opportunity.

Bolton makes no sense and id love to hear the RFL's justification for that.

Still, if its in Aus, it will save any discussions over kits!!

Weve had countless WCC over here involving smaller clubs such as Dulls,Stains,Whinos but hey ho a proper club comes along and they want it over there.
Although Id prefer the game to be played in Sydney than Bolton.

having been living in sydney this past year i havent had the chance to see a live game this season.

My mum and dad were so proud and excited about the SL final and i missed it.

this will make up for it all.

It may be between playing a StG team over here half full of reserves in front of a half empty DW. Alternatively both clubs playing in Sydney with their first team squads in front of a full house at the SFS!

If StG are to fulfil all their fixtures then we are all in trouble.
They are going to have to drop one game or other to come over with a full squad.

Still they probably won be singing it for a good while again yet, ah well.

On the ground matter. Sydney for me. Yes, fixture congestion, etc,etc, but we are strong enough to cope. I just think if we win, it adds more to our reputation if we win it in Aus again, if we lose then as long as we don’t embarrass ourselves which I’m sure we wont then we can hold our head high.

Would love for us to go to Australia and win it. One of the most magic matches ever was the Brisbane v Wigan match when we turned them over in their own backyard.

It would be a massive ask but IF we were to win the thing nobody could argue against us being the true World Champions, something that will always be doubted if we play them in this country.

Bring it on I say, if its worth doing its worth doing right. The biggest historical names in the game going to war in their own backyard. I am pumped already at the prospect!

For the good of the game it needs to played in Oz. It is nothing but a pre season friendly at the moment. As I have said in another thread we need to move the WCC to the end of the season and slap a big prize on it and play it in alternate countries year on year.

Shorten the regular season, still have the playoffs, week off then WCC. Have international warm ups same weekend. Another week off then kick off the four nations. To extend this game we need to improve the game on a world stage. First thing first is some consistancy then build on it.

Personally although it is never going to happen I would like to see a 10 team SL and then for us to follow the format suggested above. At the moment we are diluting the quality of the game, a team team comp would be the perfect length of season with all the extras you mention easy to accommodate.

Was funny to hear 'who the fookin hell are Wigan' getting off the ground at Hull last season. Ironic chants like that, and 'We're not famous anymore' takes the wind right out the sails of bitter opposition fans
