I didn’t realise he was as old as 75, so that point about retiring and enjoying a few stress free years is a very good one. It can’t be easy being the owner of Wigan. It’s be a thankless task at points because there is an element of our support who will never be happy. He’s pumped his own money in and he isn’t sat on a billion quid like this supposed new guy is.

I’d love to think he’ll still hold a position at the club but if he wants to turn it all in then who can blame him. It’s been a fantastic run.

If this is true I hope IL has some involvement. He has transformed the club, we are in a far better place than when he took over.

I don’t know if a non player can be inducted into the Wigan hall of fame, if they can IL deserves a place IMO.

The biggest complement I can give Ian Lenagan is a thank you for taking the club from the mess it was in when he joined in mid 2007 to a club that has reached seven grand finals, three challenge cup finals and won the WCC. To me however it's the academy production line that reached ten out of eleven grand finals losing only once, that should be lauded.

IL is a club legend. Simple as that. He may not always have felt it as a position like his will, by it's very nature, seem like a thankless task at times due to the criticism it generates. I just hope he understands what his steady stewardship in trying times for the game has meant to true fans. Whether he is leaving or staying, Thanks Ian.

We need to be separate definitely, but we need to work together in the same breath.

Hopefully Danson can get some form of legal stake in the stadium so we are able to profit from it where we can as currently I believe we don't make a penny from matchdays in terms of beer sales, hospitality etc.
