| This is an image of Billy Boston playing in a solid coloured kit at home against Oldham in the 60s, I'm guessing:
This is another image I found of Boston playing against a striped team from the same era (maybe the same match?)
Can anyone remember if this was red or were we playing in a 2nd kit due to a clash as Oldham play in red and white hoops too?
I also found this one of Green Vigo in a solid coloured shirt at home vs. Bradford Northern in 1978:
Can anyone confirm if this was a solid red shirt too?
Maybe options 1 and 3 aren't too non-traditional?

| I think the Green Vigo one was solid red home, solid blue away.
Seem to remember a Green Vigo try on the old VHS 101 best RL tries, scored at Headingley in a Challenge Cup match.

| Thanks Matty, having seen the pictures on the twitter page I would definitely go for number 2.

| Option 2 definitely now I've seen those photos. What is that awful print on option 3? Just ruins it.
Also why are they always that horrible, shiny, tacky material? When is someone going to make a decent polyester/cotton mix at least?

| It's got to be either 2 or 3.
I'll go for 3 as it's a bit different to the normal hoops.

Billy is playing in an all blue shirt and Vigo is in red. In Boston's era it was the home team who changed shirts if there was a colour clash.

| I thought you would go for option 5. If you get any more injuries you could get a couple of players out the Croation football team

| They're all terrible. Can't believe Errea came up with this stuff. Stripes, squares (basically a rip-off of an old design) and a plain red top? We've all seen better mock-ups floating round on this site. Not sure who's been designing our stuff recently, but they should be fired. They must be giving IL a decent price or else I can't understand why we'd stick with them...

| I have a suspicion that one of the losing designs will be flipped into another colour and become the away kit seeing as the design has already been done.

| It's clearly got to be number 2 although I think it would look better with red shorts. The in the flesh pictures give a far more realistic view of each kit and after initially quite liking a couple of the others I changed my mind on those pictures.

| I'm a flatcapper with a nuclear thermos.
Any strip that doesn't have cherry and white hoops just isn't a Wigan first choice shirt irrespective of the 3 year cycle shoite.
Number 3 as the away shirt would be good.
What do these guys who design these shirts sup? The current dildo fluorescent 3rd strip must have been the result of a drunken bet between designers. At first the bet was who could design the worst strip between designers. The second bet was a double or quits bet if the ugly strip could be adopted as a formal 3rd strip.
Rumour has it that Bateman now heads up the design team. One there for the dads to ask their teenage sons/daughters what I'm inferring because you can't google it however, there may be a formal announcement when IL and KR get back to Blighty to confirm this.

| 2 as the home with a blue version of 5 as the away. I know we have the alternative shirt every 3 years but they're all pretty awful apart from 2 and even that's just the best of a bad bunch

| I'm pretty much in the 'none of the above' camp too. Put it this way: I can't see me buying any of them. Which is the point, after all.
Does that make me an honorary flat-capper? Where do I apply? Do I get a whippet thrown in?

'"
Be careful, you'll slip down a few fan categories if you dont buy a shirt and your opinions/views wont count as much!

| Another the club can't win situation. Give the fans options for choosing the new kit, get it made in plenty time for xmas and its still upsetting fans.
Fans have always bought the shirts despite the differing quality on offer. I am not a fan of the Errea offerings but surely the club deserves some credit for asking for fans input.
And it was announced

| To be serious for a moment, I don't think I'm one who's generally slagging off the club. I don't much care for these shirts, but giving the fans the choice was a decent move by the club.

Also admitting they have screwed up last two years is an improvement.
