I will cancel my season ticket when Hampshire leaves but will just attend the must see Saints Wire and Leeds matches.
I did the same when when we sold John Burke to Workington all those years ago and obviously returned to the fold eventually!
Sometimes a point of principle is more important but even a man of principle like myself eventually yields to the pull of the cherry and whites!
I just don't think we must support the club at all costs like some young easily led puppy. It is total shoite and IL and Co need to know that some of us think like this.
I just get so peeved off with this rough tough forwards backs are soft shoite . Forwards get you to finals invariably backs win you the finals.
As I said I seek perfection but will gladly accept excellence.

Supporting a club through thick and thin is called being a fan. But each to their own. Coming back when things get good is better than not coming back at all.

Would you have cancelled your season ticket if Sam Tomkins had gone to Wire instead of Wigan? Players come and players go, that's a fact of life. Hampshire has two more years on his contract at Wigan and he has been offered a new contract. That offer has been on the table since early in the year. IL can't hold a gun to his head. I don't want to lose him, but it will be Hampshires decision.

How hard have we tried?
Money is the number one consideration but more playing time is pretty damn close.
What is the point of playing Smith and Williams tonight? Can anyone make even an inkling of a case to justify it? I await the deafening silence.
IL caanot force the lad to sign but his coaching staff are making it almost impossible for Hampshire to sign.
Rouges let's see how good Tomkins is when he has no three quarters to play with. Also if Tomkins had signed for Wire for more money well that's life and you bat on. If we continue to lose backs at the current rate and put up with 2 back rowers playing centre and use Wingers as battering rams then that's another matter. When was the last time our right winger actually received a pass with any resemblance of an opportunity?

Absolutely correct.
I have my views which obviously differ with majority but that doesn't mean I'm wrong or that other people's views are a nonsense. It's just opinions.

I would say that at this stage of the season, keeping a consistent team is vital. Too late to chop and change so as to suit red in the face fans..

Have to say I'm looking forward to seeing TT in the back row. I think he could be very dangerous out wide.

I don't think TT is really 'Wigan standard'.
I was watching that Agnatius Paasi for the Titans against the Cowboys last night. Big strong Tongan, got footwork and a bit of go-forward in him, but fairly unheralded in the NRL. That's the sort of guy I'd like to see us going for.

| Another cracking performance from Bateman. By a mile the best young player in SL this season (if you win it at 21?).

| Credit to Hull, that was an extremely admirable display and some exciting youngsters to ponder over.
I must add however, that Stevo and co failed to notice that we rested Manfredi, SOL, Bowen, Patrick, Sutton with Farrell and Sarge out injured and played 3 rookies with Burgess making his first appearance since injury. Although i agree we should (on paper at least) should have won more convincingly the Sky Sports 'experts' seemed to keep avoiding mentioning that. That was 8 changes we had ourselves :/
like i say, credit to Hull though, That was a very energetic performance.

Spot on but to be expected sadly.
Rocky, Budgie, Williams, Gildart, Bateman & Faz are all youngsters just like the much talked about Hull kids. Lockers, Faz, Bowen, Sarginson and Manfredi missing from the side just like Hull had players missing but they aren't mentioned?
Sometimes we don't get the credit we deserve or maybe its just that we don't use stuff like this as a BS excuse like some sides do. We have players out and plenty of kids playing every week but it doesn't stop us.
Some sides look for excuses.

| Lets be realistic. That was an horrendous display.
Smith is woeful without a dominant 6.
Burgess is already in Australia.
Joel is garbage.

Oh he was dangerous alright.
Your performance tonight. Looked like a team who expected to win comfortably and wasn't prepared for Hull to put up the fight they did.

| Well, all coaches. SW included, preach, defence, defence, defence, get the opposition nilled, etc. And we did let in some soft tries tonight. But from my point of view as a fan, I'm pleased to see our attack looking better as it has in recent weeks. I feel defence can (and needs to be) worked on in training, but a fluent attack is harder to get right. But to beat the best we need both of course. As said, the Hull lads put up a spirited effort to their credit, and we ended up with an entertaining game of footy. I've mentioned before the old fella in my local, Bath fan, who's come down the pub to watch a few games this season, and he rang me at work to day to see if I was going down to watch the game, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Still, we'll need to be much better than that to lift silverware this season, but it's all in our hands.

With the exception of Gildart all those players are much more experienced and older than they Hull equivalent. Wigan get plenty of credit and I'm sure either other club (Leeds and Saints apart) are jealous of Wigans academy. We had a hull players who did a great pick up, handed a player off and ran 90 metres to score and all the commentators did was talk about was Batemans chase back, without a mention of Shaul.
We had nothing to play for, away at the 2nd best side in SL with 12 or so players out, we also lost Lineham and Shaul during the game, had Shaul stayed on I reckon we could have won it and he was causing you problems when down to 12 men.
Very pround as a Hull fan and I hope we can emulate Wigan and Leeds model and bring success the right way.

Not much older, and only "experienced" because they have been given it... How many foreign players you got next year?

About the same as Leeds, but they don't get c
Most are two years older, so when they were 18/19 like ours was last night they were eased into the first team. There is the odd exception like Burgess, I suppose like Abdul for Hull.
I'm not coming on here for an argument, I'm just glad invest on our youth is finally paying off and we can seek the rewards.
Back onto overseas players 3 of the ones we have signed are top class and would get into most SL clubs.
Hopefully we will have the right balance next year to have a go at the top 4.
