I got a free season pass from the club for a carpark as I am one of the 100 that travel a fair distance to home games, don't know which one it is though. I park on asda as it easy from there to get to M6

They get £8m per season in 2015/16 and 2016/17 no matter which Football League division they're in.

I was charged £5.00 to park my car on car park 4 on Thursday Wigan v Salford. The robbing b@%$$£stards. Season tickeT ,golden gamble ,pie a pint and a programs not enough cash for the club. It was nothing at all to do with the club, it was a decision made by the Stadium Management. As I said on a previous thread it's well worth buying a car park season pass along with your season ticket. It costs £39 and covers ALL games.

Park on the surrounding streets in Newtown and walk in.
Back in the 80's / 90's we regularly got crowds upwards of twenty five thousand without the use (or need) of an official car park.

Re: Golden Gamble Ticket, Pie, Pint, Program - All these are optional so whats the harm? To keep costs down I eat before going to a match, but I buy a pint. I have a flutter on the golden gamble but give the programs a miss. Its all choice.

Is there even one other Super League club who offer free parking? I can't think of any. Just park a bit further away for free and walk like I do if it bothers you that much

Park on Frog Lane and walk - you'll probably get away from the game quicker than on an official car park!

The underhanded introduction of the £5.00 charge is truly been missed on this thread. The broken promise of the availability of this free parking is been missed by this thread. Once again those who have the power to take something away have won the day. No honour , no empathy with those they exploit and the march of human greed is accepted with just a shrug of the shoulder . I despair

as has also been stated, this only brings us inline with every other stadium.

I do think it's fair enough that you have to pay on to a car park so close to the stadium, and as others have mentioned you have to pay to get on every away ground that has a car park. From the club's point of view, however, with the way attendances have been going, the last thing they need is something else that could could put off casual fans.

Just another attempt by a desperate greedy man to raise money the best way he can. Park on Asda and if you receive a ticket ignore it. The parking company would have to take you to civil court, and they very rarely do it. People like Parking Eye profit on the ignorance of the public.
