| I walk back to my car over the canal surrounded by Wigan fans, and I always find it interesting to overhear their conversations about how the referee was biased towards us. Have a look at the recording and you'll see we have as much to complain about as you have.

The only complaint i would have is regarding the knock on against Charnley that blatantly resulted from being tackled in mid air.
Apart from that i though Bentham had a very good game.

| It was intense for the full 80 I've not seen RL like that in a while. Shame that one decision soured an otherwise great spectacle.

| A great game and after all the doom ad gloom a reminder of how good RL is and what we have been missing.

| Agree with the subject, both teams to hit that level 2 games in takes some doing. We are a young team but they all look proud to wear the shirt and that will do for me, see you all at Hudds.

Both missed a stinker. Richards missed a touchline conversion whereas Hodgson hit his.

| Team played fantastic apart from Sam, who simply cannot catch a bomb and its embarassing. Murphy gets a lot of flack and Sam gets none, lets be consistent in our judgement. I still cant decide if Bentham saw the Charnley incident or did he leave it to his assistant? only a minor critism to Bentham who , lets face it is the best ref in SL. Goulding looked a real threat in the first half, the second half was a great defensive display from both sides. Totally made up , another endorsement of the greatest team sport in the world

| Hampson could have dropped off a few barrels in the DW bar, dropped the nut on a couple of players & caught it with one hand.
Best game I think I've seen Goulding have.

3 of them aren't current players.
As for Richards, did you actually watch the game? He didn't catch a high ball all night.

| Sam Tomkins has only really had one good game against us, the cup win at our place, he had spells in the 22-20 win you had too also at our place, as a team i think we know how to deal with him better than any other, i'll include the Aussies in that too.
Briers spiral bombs are good, high and linger in the air for ever but there are plenty of FB past and present who could deal with them better. He needs to be a tad braver, Wire do hang them up to put big hits on the FB, i think that was in the back of his mind a little bit, i still remember that one he copped at Leeds, he probably does too.

| Didn't have a great game Friday night, but we still played pretty well.
Nice to know we're not a 1 man team like a lot of other clubs fans think.
I've noticed that other boards seem to think we're screwed when he does go but then the other half say he's useless?
I thank them all for their obvious concerns for the Wigan club that in no way are blinded by their own self hatred of Wigan.
I'll stand by what I've said before, if he stays for the next 2 seasons and produces the level of performance we've seen for the last 3/4 then ill state that he's as good as anything I've seen at Wigan.
The kind of player that makes you want to go to a game and pay to watch week in week out, something SL severely lacks.
I want all the best players playing over here improving this league, not playing in theNRL "testing" themselves, or going rah rah for the cash.
I want to think of ways of keeping these players in our league whilst others seem to want them to leave to "even up" the competition and disguise their views as concern for Tomkins or whichever players career.

In fairness, I think there'll be a few of your own who quickly come round to our way of thinking if he does go
Wigan won't ever be a one man team, your youth development's simply too good for that to happen. But you're right about needing a strategy to keep them there too.
As for friday's game, I'd describe it as compelling. Too many errors and too much poor discipline by both sides for it to be described as a near-perfect performance but the spirit shown by Wigan in particular was mightily impressive. On that showing I'd have to say that it'll be yourselves rather than wire that will be challenging for all three trophies this year.
