If that statement from Lenagan was a "peace keeping exercise", I dread to think what he would have written if he was peed off. There's no way Hock will ever play for Wigan again after that statement.

Then again, which of your major rivals have second rowers of Hock's calibre? On the other hand, I think all of us have better team players which, at a time when our teams aren't crammed with superstars, counts for a lot.
As for pressure on Wane if results are poor, this would probably happen regardless.

As an outsider it seems your club have handled this as well as they could have. Your chairman and coach have shown a strong lead in dealing with a disruptive influence which will surely bring the rest of the team closer together - probably of far more benefit than retaining Hock.

If that statement is untrue, then its libelous. Simple as.

Then either you, or whoever gave you this information, should make it public.

The club have done that, so just saying "I know the truth" and expecting people to believe you, is worthless as a response.

Gareth and his spokesmen should now either sue the club for libel, or at the very least put out their own version of events.

Wane or IL have done something to Gareth Hock that justifies :-
Not training,
Not doing his rehab,
Asking for a move to Australia and if I read this right, when the original move didnt happen due to non agreement of transfer fee some clubs came back in with increased offers and now he says he doesn't want to go.
Having attitude problems that concerned & "Disappointed" not only the existing coach but the previous one as well (Who I would bet 99% of Wigan fans would have backed in a similar situation of he'd still been here?).
He is refusing to play for the Wigan club again and wants IL to sack him?

And he was upset over losing the number 12 shirt! Christ alimighty, no wonder he's done what he's done!

Over this 18 months Wigan have increased "VOLUNTARILY" his pay TWICE!

But it's Wane or IL at fault for something that not 1 single person who "Thinks" they know what's gone on and why Hock is upset is prepared to let anyone know?
Hock himself will have plenty of opportunity to let everyone know why he's so upset so I excitedly await his reply through his solicitors denying all of the above and stating that Wane and/or IL have kidnapped some of his family/friends and are threatening them!



This must be personally something affecting Hock as I don't see too many of the other members of the Wigan club refusing to train/play or work?

Look at the statement, there's nothing to be interpreted as untrue, but it's the facts within the statement.
Hock has stated he doesn't want to play for Wigan any more. Why? People close to the player and club know of the reasons why Hock would want out of his home town club, whether it be for Widnes or an Aussie club.

An agreement has been made between the club and Hock and his agent, for this reason and because Hock would love to play for Wigan under a different coach, you can guarantee he won't be issuing a complaint against IL.

Read between the lines on this one.

So Wigan release a statement bad mouthing Gareth Hock and his attitude to the club. They don't really mean it though because theywant him back in 2014 should Shaun Wane go.

F*ck me. What planet do some people live on? If that was the case then I can guarantee that Wigan would not have released that statement. They'd simply have said there had been a fall out at the club and it was in the best interests of all involved to help the club move on. They may even have said it was in the best interests of Hock fitness wise after his injury to be guaranteed to play which here he isn't. They would NOT have spoken about his poor attitude and his total disrespect of the club.

What Wigan have said is all true, hence no legal issue, that's not the point, the question is why did/does Hock not want to play for his home town club anymore? Because of our 'great' coach. We all know there's been a bust up, i' guessing people on here don't know what it was over, but it wasn't over Hock wanting to go to Aus, wanting to go to Aus was to a reaction, an example of Hock wanting to leave the club, to get away from Wane.

So it seems with all the support he got from the owner, players, supporters and coaches over the last 4 years Hock deems himself too good for us and wants a lucrative deal in Australia. Real class act by IL to send him to Widnes. Its obvious that Paramatta wanted him and the whiff of money was enough fro him to turn his back on the club and that is what he has done. Tbh i think we lost a better player last season in Hoffman than Hock.

Only problem i see is the timing of it all.

Some will want to believe various rumours of how badly treated or it was Wane's fault but its fairly obvious he wants more money in the NRL. Only mistake IL has done is not to let him play against us as he is a liability and could easily be triggered to lose control and get himself sent off.

Clearly I do know something he doesn't know, hence my opinion on the matter. But like I said, it's not my place to announce it, so I won't.

The club has a history under IL of NO COMMENT. That statement speaks volumes about who is in the wrong. If Hock is hard done by he should open his mouth in public but for IL to put out that statement well if anyone wants to believe Hock they have been taking the same white powder Hock did when he got banned.

The problem is his reaction to the bust up. I had a bust up with my boss but I didn't refuse to go to work. If he had gone to traoning and carried on with his head down he would probably have had more ppl on his side. He hasn't though. He has used said apparent bust up to hold the club to ransom. The fall out may not have been his fault. The rest is.
